We like to check out the area from November till January, do you think its hard to find an apartment over there during peek time?

Also did anyone had experiences with pokerrefugees? They charge 1k for the apartment search and backup internet connection, do you think its worth it?

I just arrived to Playa and rented an apartment for 1 month to grind wcoop. It is a 2br/2ba apt, full kitchen and balcony that looks over the pool. Super quite and nice inside. 5min walk to the beach and about 10-15 min walk to downtown Playa where all the clubs are.

It's only me right now and I'm potentially looking to rent the other room for 1-3 weeks or so. I might have some friends coming later on Sept for about a week, not confirmed yet.

1. I'm planning to spend like $1k tops a month for a apartment (studio I guess, planning to live by myself). Tried looking around at tripadvisor etc but most condos seems way more expensive. Any good web sites to look for a condo?

The casino at Riviera Grand has NLH poker starting at 4pm, starting at 10/20pesos blinds which they raise as it gets later (8pm it goes to 20/50). Last night there were three tables by around 10pm with a good mix of players.

Correction: blinds start at 5/10 pesos, go to 10/20 around 8pm, then 20/50 after midnight.

Is the internet in Playa good enough to play CS:GO? Is there a large enough player base at the eagle+ level? I'm an addict and I need my fix, I hope you understand.

You can connect quickly to servers in Miami so if that's an option you'll be fine.

I'm posting this here for the benefit of anyone else that might read this in the future. I just had a frustrating experience and maybe it will save other people the time.

PStars accepts Todito Cash, which is very easy to deposit with. The problem is actually getting the cards. The Todito Cash web site will tell you they are available at a variety of different places, including OXXO. They will even show you a map where you put in your address and list the OXXO that have them. I went to FOUR different OXXO before being told that they no longer carry them. They told me they haven't carried them in at least a year or so. I finally stumbled across a 7-11 that had them and the cards themselves say "Exclusively for Sale at 7-11". So I have no idea who the heck is in charge of the Todito Cash web site but it is not current at all! That was really frustrating to go to all those stores when they weren't available to begin with.

I've been going through the same thing. I've gone to every oxxo in my area and three 7-11s. I also tweeted at toditocash and they replied to get it at 7-11 which I tried. Can you please tell me where you finally found it??? Thanks!

To be clear I'm in Mexicali not PDC. I just posted because it applies to Mexico in general. So I can't help you. What I did was I just told my taxi driver to take me to the largest 711 he knew of. I just figured the bigger stores would have them and it did work out.
