My understanding is: don't do this. You will have a hassle at the time of departing Mexico. You will be required to pay a fine. I don't remember the amount, but it's not $20...

I believe that the requirement is to leave for 72 hours, and when returning you should have no problems getting another FMM for 180 days. At the border with Belize, it may be possible to find a way to return in < 72 hours. I haven't tried this...

nigtlife scene is pretty awesome imo. pretty much can go out any night and its pretty hopping (probably cause it's the high point in the year for tourism). lots of cool american sportsbars to watch games and drink some beers and the club scene on 12th (mandela specifically) is a lot of fun.

i got 6.

couple of guys that just got here got 3 month leases and got reinstated on stars no problems (well, at least no problems because of the length)

I have read stars doesn't like <3 month, but that is going by memory and my memory is ****

The bigger fish live further out in the ocean, you need more time to get out there and find them. When you catch an enormous 300lb fish and post the photo to this thread, you'll be very happy you did the full day.

fishing is booked. we can snorkel during the trip as well, goggles etc are provided so bring swimming trunks. I have sunscreen, they sell beer at the marina so we can stock up there. Lunch is provided

I will have more info on best way to get there tomorrow. It is 80 usd or 1040 peso. I will take stars transfers too if that works better for those going.

im pumped

also bring camera to satisfy the lurkers

One way flight booked 1-14, booked a hotel for a couple nights so I can grind Sunday & check out PDC. Will be looking for a place ASAP. Stoked!
