Better to go furnished and maybe split with someone.

You could save something like 40-50% everything included going unfurnished estrato 4. But it's a big hassle.

Hi

I'm an English Midstakes MTT grinder looking to move to Colombia from Panama City (been here for last 8 months). Want to move next month but I can't make my mind up between Bogota and Medellin . Most people say Medellin but I have a friend in Bogota (English, journalist, doesn't play poker), which would make moving there on my own a bit easier in terms of finding a place, meeting people etc.) I had practically no contact with other professionals here in Panama, so if one city had a much more active poker community then that could also affect my decision. Any advice? Oh, and I speak almost fluent Spanish. Cheers, Joe.

I'm going to be in Medellin for a few days in November, then Cartagena for a week. I think I will be on my own for the first day in Medellin and would love any recommendations for good nature/hiking/photo opportunities in the area. Especially something off the beaten path that the locals enjoy but few tourists make it to. I don't mind hiring a local driver for a day.

Hey guys me and my roomate have a spot opening here in our penthouse. The place is in the best location of Laureles 1 min walk to 33, and 5 min walk to nutibarra. Family oriented super tranquilo zone. Just about every restaurant, consumo, exito, bars you name it.

2 story penthouse on the 6/7th floor. 250 sq mtr. 2 Large balconies, a private steam room (turko) in the unit. The master suite is the entire upstairs and is what we are renting.

Master suite:
-entire upstairs
-4.8M X 3.5M
-very large walk in closet
-large bathroom with double sinks, jacuzzi, and skylight
-walkout balcony with great views about the same size as the bedroom
-40" LED TV
-KING size bed
-2 person couch

and of course you will have access to the rest of the apartment
-all utilities included, and UNE wifi and cable TV

Everyone who enters this place just loves it, it is so much space for everyone to do their own thing, and be comfortable. The area which it is in is also unmatched.

Looking for longer term renters. Price will depend on stay, but starting at 1.6M (~535$ right now) which includes everything.

For some reason twoplustwo isnt allowing me to post the link to the pics which are hosted on postimage it keeps changing the link after i put it in, so pm me or let me know and I can get you pics. thanks

maybe try this: go to: p o s t i m g DOT org/

and put this after the .org----> /gallery/1isdo3wv2/

Hey,

Just wanted to let everyone know about our new sports bar just opened in Laureles. Its called Tortugos and is on the 33 just above 78.

We have wall to wall giant hd screens and can show 4 different games at the same time. Also have very fast 20mb internet so you can grind at the same time as watching games!

Drinks prices cheaper than Poblado/LLeras with beers starting at $4,000 and cocktails at $10,000. Fast food also available.

pm if you need more details.

I'm gonna be in town starting tomorrow staying with friends at the Four Points Sheraton. I just spent 15 confusing minutes trying to figure which neighborhood I'm in. None of the real maps show neighborhoods and none of the neighborhood maps seemed to line up at all. I finally figured out they were all rotated 90 degrees counter-clockwise. So weird.

Anyone know why they don't orient north at the top of the map? I've never seen that before in any of my travels.

Montreal is another like this. Their main street Saint-Laurent runs NW/SE, but they always rotate maps to make it look like Saint-Laurent runs perfectly N/S.

If your Spanish isn't good and it's your first time in South America I recommend going to Buenos Aires. Flights are more expensive, but girls are hot, food is amazing, they love to party, lots of things to do and see, and you can get by on little Spanish.

Medellin is a great city, but it's not certain you'll have an amazing time unless you have some things going for you.. But with Buenos Aires there's just too many good things going for it imo it's impossible not to have an amazing time.
so are you saying its easier to get by with no spanish in buenos aires?
