Can anybody recommend a hotel that gives good long stay rates that is near the casino's that have poker? I'd like to stay for 3-4 weeks.

Would like to spend less than US$100 per night and must have internet.

Cool thanks. I think our post-per-page settings messed up that link - it just takes me to the top of this page but Yuan's info is on the last page.

Metro Park sounds great and great location but no internet in the room is a deal breaker for me

If anybody else has a good rec for long stay hotel walking distance from the Wynn please let me know.

Should be under US$100/night w/ in-room internet.

Look into Emperor or Grand Emperor. I dont remember what one it is, but it is basically in between Grand Lisboa and Wynn. Usually they have cheap rates, and the rooms aren't that bad. I heard their spa is decent too. (spa=whorehouse)

Going to BKK or KL soon. What airline should I use so I can checkin at Macau Ferry (there is a counter at the entrance on the left) for HK airport?

I do not think they accept small companies like Cebu Pacific.

Try Air Asia or Tiger Airways

P.D: You guys know if the Guangzhou-Macau train is fully running? I read a new that it is but I not sure about it... It departs from the GZ South Railway Station right?

Guangzhou - Macau MRT is running but only from Panyu to some place in North Zhuhai, about 30 mins drive from Gongbei.
There is a plan to extend the line to Gongbei but no idea what the timeline is.
There's also a cargo train but I have no idea about that and doubt it takes passengers.

As mentioned, not in China

As for what to do, they just opened some Casino's, no poker though I have been told. Four floors of whores on Orchard Road is cool (think it's called Orchard Towers). And of course world class shopping.

I am spending a gap year in China right now. Where is a good place for me to go if I want to learn Chinese? I have spent most of my time so far in the South (Shenzhen) but I find that they don't speak Standard Mandarin there. I don't want to pick up any bad linguistic habits and want to learn Standard Mandarin without any regional accents etc.

Thanks

In all honesty you would probably be better off asking the Lonely Planet forum for something like that.
