Can definitely open a stars account, the others I'm not too sure of. When I played I always used a VPN because the connection was faster, but you can definitely play without one as well, ymmv on cutting in and out though. You'll need a VPN if you come to China though, assuming you want to get on FB/YT/twitter/etc. I can get on 2p2 without a VPN but it takes ages to load pages, par for the course for other sites as well.

Is there a convenient way to deposit on Pokerstars from China? (wechat, directly depositing from bank account online, ATM etc...)

As an American (I assume from your name) this may not be all that exciting to hear but Bodog exists here (same poker network different sportsbook) and is incredibly convenient to deposit on.

I deposited with Astropay several years ago. It doesn't work with some banks (I used CGB--China Guangfa Bank) so you need to check the website...which for Astropay purposes is all in Chinese. Your best bet would probably be bitcoin-related. Had no problems playing without a VPN. Good luck!

Does anyone have any info on how to maintain decent fitness while grinding hard in Macao? Where to go to the gym, places to eat healthy, tips and tricks, anything would help

Live games in Beijing anyone? Looking to play some NL in Beijing, everything I've played so far has been extremely beginner level (half the players need a hand rank guide)

what currency do they use on poker table? HKD or MOP

HKD all throughout the casinos. Also you can pay with HKD pretty much everywhere but the exchange rate will be 1:1

I downloaded PokerStars but I can't update the client in Beijing.. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I'm having trouble getting a good VPN also I think that would fix this problem

Woke up this morning to find my tires slashed while parked in my apartment community for the second time in two weeks. Security guards say that the video surveillance is of no use and that I should just be wary of creating enemies who'll want revenge.

If you're coming in from HK like most: Banks in HK change USD-HKD and back at low vig (maybe shop around some offers a bit). Reportedly it's pretty much the same in Macau but I cannot personally attest to that. There are also bitcoin ATMs in HK (maybe in Macau?), but they have a high vig. You can also wire money to the casinos but they'll prolly rip you off with the rate (I saw the Wynn rates for cash, there's like >20% difference buy and sell)

I think the large casinos will give you a voucher for whatever money you take out and you can redeem it later. For example if you exchange 100 usd for whatever amount of hkd you can come back later with that amount in hkd and they will give you your usd back.

This of course means you need to win

Thanks a lot! Do you have any idea of where to find the wire info for Wynn? I cannot find it anywhere.
