Run a constant ping to pokerstars.com - for some reason this helps ensure a more reliable connection
if you think it could be intentional blocking clear your dns cache and renew ip info
and yes that actually is a thing - ip's that access too much "questionable content" will be put on naughty lists and given less priority for bandwidth and sometimes even literally given a timeout - was a huge way of warning people back in the days when google was unblocked - too many questionable search topics and your internet speed would slow down to a crawl for about 15 minutes
