Heading back to HK at the end of the month. Tried googling this with poor results - how easy/possible is it to buy anti-malarial meds like Doxycycline over the counter at a pharmacy? Starting to regret not getting them in Thailand.

The camera doesn't matter. The headmount is the most important thing. Unless you're a rank of PADI divemaster or above, your diving instructor won't let you have a camera in your hands while diving. I'm curious, where will you be diving?

Nah, just flying into HK for a week because it's the cheapest SEA flight to the Solomons and I figure I can get most of what I need there before I hop on a sailboat for 4 months. Might do a daytrip over to Macau, that's it.

If you are looking for a chain store then try Fortress. I don't recall the name, but pretty close to IFC there is a very large electronics market... I think it's several stories. If you ask a taxi driver with decent english or a concierge they would probably know.

The female Chinese tourists i see running around Thailand are hot. Not sure if thats a fair representation of the entire Chinese female population. I've never visited China but been everywhere else in Asia. Always thought Chinese girls in the states were pretty hot. Thai Chinese girls are also my a favorite style of Thai girls.

Japanese and S.korean girls hot as *** as well. Prefer any of those 3 countrys girls for hotness over any SEA girls but obv SEA girls are easier to bang.

There's also a pretty big (sometimes huge) difference on average attractiveness of girls per province. Sichuan is famous for having the most beautiful girls and the most spicy food.

We're very similar, I'm normally am not interested in prostitutes but getting one to sleep with you without any $ transaction occurring is always a huge rush - once had a girl from Maggie's steal my cab and when I did a very friendly "wtf" gesture throwing my hands up in the air she had the cab pull over after a few feet and said "Get in the car, we're going to a party" - no sex that night but really surreal drinking with a bunch of Mongolians who all slept in the same bed in a small studio apartment in Beijing. Had another time when one Mongolian there kept trying to get me to take her home and I kept repeating she's too expensive so later she tells me they're leaving Maggie's to go dancing and want me to join them, I bid my friends goodbye and within 20 minutes of being in the club various men approached the table and walked away with the girls one by one, ladyboys included, one guy even asked me if one I was talking to was already spoken for and I said no and he then assumed I was her pimp +EV.

I hate that foreigners have a reputation for coming to China for easy sex or "finding wives" - was even tricked into sitting in on the studio audience when a friend of friend that was a tv producer repeatedly asked me to sit in on the studio audience for her show and I finally said yes. It was a talk show where they sat me front and center. The show was about a female olympic gold medal winner in weightlifting and how she struggled to find love because Chinese men didn't want muscular women. I was the plant as the foreigner who came to China because he's obsessed with Chinese girls and wanted to marry her. They then turn the camera on me and ask me questions that I failed to understand so I nod my head like an idiot and don't say anything. Then they turn to her parents who are sitting next to me and tell them I'm here to propose to their daughter, do they think I'm good enough. The dad then turns to me and basically calls me useless and not worthy of her, again which I don't understand at all so I just sit there nodding my head and smiling having no idea what is going on and seriously regretting what I was apparently tricked into being part of. Meanwhile my Chinese friends (who were seated in the back) are rolling in their seats laughing their asses off at me. This was in 2006 so it wasn't put online and every couple years I check the video sites to see if it's up there, even had Chinese friends help me search but never found it. At this point I can't even remember any of the names of the show or participants either so it seems to be lost.

So I kind of tilt when I see posts like this as there is good reason most people assume we're all perverts, so much that I'm often questioned by strangers if I came to China to **** the women or find a wife, even once when I was interviewing a job candidate he kept asking me if I was here because I want to **** Chinese girls (spoiler: he didn't get the job) so it's hard to be taken seriously by some people because of this reputation... having said that I just told a bunch of stories about hanging out at Maggies .

It's really nice to be a tall white guy in China or even the rest of Asia, not just for locals but expat women too as they seem to get left behind and prefer not to date locally so it's relatively easier compared to back home.

Ahh never heard of Sichuan. I for sure like hot girls and spicy food though. Not sure if a city like that would be to boring on the nightlife front for me though. I always envisioned Shanghai would be the type of city I'd like but not sure on that.

Is their like actual red light districts there? How about hooker pick up clubs? I know its most likely a city to city thing. I'm guessing the bigger citys have these but not sure on that. 200.00 bucks is way to much for girl 2. If thats the cost of regular hookers I wouldnt mess with them except on the rarest occasions. I like to mess with regular girls to but from time to time a good night with whores is oh so fun.
