Ya sure, hit me up on PM when you get there. I arrive in May.

Just in terms of information about Shenzhen Serpentza covers pretty much everything you would want to know about living in the city http://www.youtube.com/user/serpentza aside from the more degen aspects, like drinking ect. I was wondering what the clubs are like out there, for instance I hear that clubs in Shanghai are like clubs in NY or Vegas in that you get bottle service. Is this the case in Shenzhen?

Hi Macau visiting poker players,

We have rooms available in Macau for visiting poker players for short to medium term

(days/weeks/months).

About the place:
It is a brand new duplex on the top two floors (fantasic view!) of Kingsville, an upscale apartment complex. Kingsville is located at Taipa, Macau, close to Taipa City as well as Cotai Strip (Venetian/City of Dreams/Galaxy). Taxi and Buses are available right outside our complex to get to other casinos / poker rooms (Grand Lisboa/Wynn/Starworld), within minutes. The duplex has 4 standard bedroom (share 2 bathrooms) and a large "baller" bedroom with private bathroom and a brand new bath tub. We also destinate a grinding lounge in the living room for hours online play with WiFi. Maids come in twice a week.

About us:
We are all poker players from all around the world (Asia, Europe, North America). Our place is made by poker players for poker players.

About the activities:
We have weekly gatherings to chat about poker over wine / beer. We also have a big project screen where we can play online sessions and brainstorm over poker hands, concepts etc. Overall the place is aimed at creating the professional environment to develop our poker skills with like-minded pros, but on the same time not forgetting that we are also should enjoy what we are doing.

If you are interested, please PM me for details.

Hi

Im currently playing the $15 hyper husng but aiming to reach the $60s before I move out. What would the monthly cost be in Hongkong or Macau? This should include rent, food, partying and women. Approx

Is online poker legal in hong kong at the moment? I've played online the past couple of summers in HK without any problems, but I guess cashing out would be a problem, right? Lately I've seen quite a few people from China/Hong Kong/Taiwan on Stars, so would like to know the situation atm. mainly wondering about stars.

Thanks!

Feel free to PM me
Hey guys, i'm wondering about this too, could someone confirm the legality issue / any gray areas for online poker?

thanks

this is all approx when I was living in macau for 3 months. it can range quite wide.

rent around 600-700~ if you have a room mate around 300-400.
+ utilities like 60. water+ AC. +50 for wifi

- food you can live off like 10-15 dollars a day if you bum it out and cook at home. Prob budget for around 25-30 if eating out per day.

Macau is expensive compared to rest of asia. But a good deal if you compare it to north american prices.

Argh! I am currently sharing apartment, otherwise it would be no problem to borrow the smaller room until I move. I will move to SZ 12-16th April so after then the big room will be available and my flatmate will remain until middle May.

If it could be useful for you let me know, I will take some pics tonight

I haven't gone party in Shanghai but for what I've seen in other cities you can get bottle service + (maybe) private space in most of the discos in China. I guess its kinda standard and MUCH cheaper than in Vegas

We'll be in touch!

Its likely that cost is the low end in China atm, Catwalk in Guangzhou is recently charging 100rmb (15$) for a standard drink, most are 8-10$ here though. Anyway I did get a drink once in SH for 25rmb

Bottles could range 400-800rmb depending where I guess, problem is to know which is not fake...

Anyone in Zhuhai tomorrow want to hang out? Any good clubs to meet girls that want to meet foreigners? I will be in Zhuhai for the next 3 days for work. Will probably go to Macau at some point, but also want to meet people in Zhuhai if possible. Let me know!

Gongbei is the touristy district of Zhuhai. If you want to meet Chinese girls looking for foreign guys that's probably your best bet, but competition might be fierce. It also has a port of entry to Macau which seems to be right up your alley. There are plenty of bars/clubs in that area. Most girls in Zhuhai (that aren't from Zhuhai) are Macau rejects so keep that in mind . Zhuhai is a nice city, though. Very clean by Chinese standards. I'm debating whether to go to Yangshuo or Zhuhai for Qingming Festival.

At a green light, are oncoming cars trying to turn left in front of the tanks? I think that might help assess the gravity of the situation.

Ah. We must be into different things, I'm here for 2 more months and do not like a single thing about Hangzhou.

The weather is beginning to be nice, will have to check out the tea bushes.

I am hoping to avail to the collective knowledge of the 2+2 degens in china to help me with my cluelessness about where to stay and what cash games to play while near macau(best time and place to play etc). Id only be playing no limit. I have read the poker potal asian review but thats about it. Id welcome any recommendations on where i could find a affordable pension house type deal where id know my stuff wont be jacked. Ill be arriving in Hong Kong on april 5th and dont currently have a onward ticket to the US booked. Hong Kong was just supposed to be my layover to get back to the states but i decided why not stay for like 9 days, travel around and try to recoup some of my expenses in macau in teh evenings. Ive got to research this more in the next few days as i mite need to show an onward ticket to enter the country. Id be playing around 2/5usd stake level and move up if variance is kind.
