Moving to the US from Canada, how would I go about it?

Hi,
I think it's time to pull the plug and move to the US, most likely florida.
I won't go crazy with the covid ****, but I'm done with it and ready to move down.
I had gone down to the states for a couple months at a time to play, but how would I go about moving permanently?
Would it be just with the taxes? Can I claim poker as a job and move for that reason?
Any advice or comments would be helpful
Thanks

Assuming you don't want to work for the man there are only three ways to legally immigrate to the US. 1) Marriage, 2) Investment (at least 900k to found and maintain a US company with several employees, 500k in certain target areas with high unemployment), 3) Greencard lottery

It's actually very difficult. If you have to ask, then most likely you have no chance. Even the methods available take years to complete unless you have a really big employer that can sponsor you.
Canadians can spend 6 months a year in the US, I recommend you do what you can with that.

Isn't it 6 months at a time? Either way kinda hard to keep track. I spent longer periods in Vegas without problems.

Up to 182 days in any 12 month period. Ofc you can be lucky and nobody notices, but it prolly won't be fun if somebody notices, either in the country or on the border, esp for future US travels. The US is not known for treating illegal immigrants very kindly.

The border keeps a log of every entry and exit. They started monitoring more closely a few years ago. If you like going back and forth like I do, I recommend you don't *** it up.
