It only took me a few days to find a place, but that was back in January. There's probably less vacancy now, so might take a bit longer. What size place are you looking for?
We are looking something with minimum of 2 bedrooms.

Was just about to ask where you're from, but then I saw the .fi in your yahoo email address. So I guess you're a Fin, or you're impersonating one. ;-)
Haha, yes. Iam coming from Finland!

Good luck with the move.

P.S. Tried to add you on skype, but nobody came up under that email. Added you on msn though. Send me a msg on there and I'll get you added on skype, which I use much more often.
Actually thats not my Messenger or skype adress. I just didnt want to them to get in public since i use them both in my job. But i think in some weird way my yahoo account is connected to my msn, since i saw your invite to msn :O . I added you up. I was hoping to people send their msn / skype to that yahoo email so i can add them from there, using the adress they have told me

Hello again.

This goes to my swedish ( maybe other scandinavians also ) friends out there in Malta : Is it possible to order snuss to there (via internet ) without problems? Iam also thinking to bring with me couple of ( really not sure how its called in english ) "towers". Anybody knows how much i can bring with me without having problems at the airports?

Hey guys, I have an important question. I gonna fly to Malta on Saturday and I actually wanted to bring my PS3 + PS3 games + DVDs & BluRays with me but I am not sure whether a German PS3 will work in Malta as Malta uses different electricity sockets. A quick answer to my question whether it will work or not would be cool. Thx

appartment: shouldnt take long, maybe longer than 4 days though.

gym: wouldnt exactly call teh feelgood the place to be but it gets the job done. you will not find gyms like in civilised countries over here

taxi: don't take white cabs and negotiate b4 u step in. wembleys and ecabs are pretty decent, i do everything with dcabs bc teh owner is a good friend...

sicily: ferries going each day, 1.5hours imo

gf: seems like if a poker player has a gf/wife tis wife is a hairdresser - kinda classic

snuss: imo you can buy that **** here if u are scandi and have a document which proves that. but there is a ****load of swedes here who will be able to help u out...

cheers

Yeah Dahlia does good work in general. I would advice you to see some more real estate agents though, just so you get the best place for your money

I had a good experience with Dhalia. The agent I got was very knowledgeable and helpful.

I'm gonna give a different view to even things out a little. I had a terrible experience with Dhalia. Asked for a 1 bed apt in Sliema for €500, was offered a 2 bed in Gzira for €600. Asked for a 1bed in Sliema for €500, offered a 2 bed in St. Julians for €750. Asked agent not to return my calls as he was wasting my time. Received about 12 missed calls when I was working. Told him that if he rang my number again I'd post on travel forums....guess what?

I also think that playing a few agents off against each other is a good idea. Saw the same apt with different agents for €150 cheaper per month. If you have time just walk around an area you like and check out window signs. I got my present Apt from a sign in a shop window. Shop only charged €50 agent fee.

my room mates and me signed rental contract for apartment on the same day when we meet the estate agent for the first time. its quite uncomplicated here in malta. we also live in sliema and have seaview, it really is the best area here.

looking forward to see u in sliema

If you really prefer a pc store in Sliema, there's a small one on High Street. I don't have the name or exact address, but you'll see it on the left, just after you pass the Alborada Hotel, going up towards the Palace Hotel, on the little pedestrianized part of the street.

Yes feel free to add me in MSN (benny1887@hotmail.de)

cheers

I would also recommend Scan, just grab a cab to take you there and scan home delivers your stuff (or take it back with the cab). I always get everything there and donnow any online shop shipping to malta tbh.

Plus: scan has great serviceshop as well, so if something breaks down your close getting it fixed.

We also had good experiences with ina@stepsproperties.com and ended up renting the place through them.

Also Frank&salt had some good places to show us on the spot. http://www.franksalt.com.mt/

Cool that we have some Finns coming over, getting tired of all these swedes Recommend you shop around a lot to get the idea of the prices and also add me on skype (pmd my name)

as I recently found out, amazon.de does ship to malta within a week for like 10€, you have to make sure to buy from amazon directly though.
