try to get a deal with the owners themselves instead of with an agent. As they get like 50% of your first month rent. Wich is redic.

AFAIK the only two that you won't be able to log into (without using a VPN) are Betfair and Entraction. There are a few others that won't let you register an account with a Maltese address (Unibet is one) but if you have an account registered elsewhere you can access them fine.

The restrictions that do exist are all on sites that are licensed here, if you don't see the LGA stamp on a site you're not going to have any issues.

I can play on Entraction(NoIQ) without problems. I just can't change my registered address to Malta.

The Betfair website is fine for sports betting, but the poker software won't open without a VPN.

do you work in the lettings industry? i know for a fact that matt does as he sorted me out with an apartment, as well as helping a ton of other poker players find properties.

matt knows his stuff. if you're gonna make douchey one-line statements then the least you can do it is back it up.

+1 on Matt knowing his stuff. Found me an apartment and sorted out internet etc.

and to Davey, how do you contact the owners direct if your new to the island and they don't advertise?

Letting agencies are a service which connect people who want to rent with people with places to rent. that is why both parties then have to pay over 1 months rent between them as a finders fee. I don't see any problem with that tbh, especially when rent is so cheap over here.

Ok that did come across badly and I'm sorry if I offended you Matt but we got the apartment I'm currently renting for a LOT cheaper because we got it for 6 months from Jan, not like May.

Low and high season rates only apply when renting a property of 5 months or less. This will then be considered a short let and daily rates will apply. Of course then there is low and high season just like renting a room in a hotel
Thanks for the info man.

Hey guys. Going to Malta in mid-March to play the Unibet Open. I was just wondering what kind of weather I can expect around that time? Really hope to get some sunshine, as we don't get much of it here these days :-)

I would love to be a part of setting up this pokerhouse. I am an American though, and need more information on what i need to do before I can move over there. I need to know more about taxation and residency and can't seem to obtain enough information to make the move. If anyone has any information please help me out. I am bankrolled and ready to go!!

hball3113. I moved out here 3 weeks ago and didn't need to set up anything other than my apartment. The airline I booked through didnt question me at all when I checked in.

Taxation again isnt a worry, just as long as you dont cashout to a maltese credit card, but I doubt you will do that anyway Residency. What I did was income out here for 5 days with my 2 friends and check places out, then made an offer on my favourites.
