I find Dahlia the best real estate site so far- any other good ones?
The whole procedure of visiting different places, setting up the lease on the chosen one and having everything ready took two days for me. Granted tho that the type of good I went for is different and more common than a place capable of housing 5+ people. Other example, two friends went for a big apartment in the Portomaso marina and had everything set up almost as fast, altho they had to wait like a week or two before it was ready (I don't remember why).
I imagine if you're going to live there for a couple months, you're better off staying at a hotel for a couple of days, see how you like the different parts of the island - it's small, you'll figure it out quickly - and then have an agent show different goods according to your requirements.
I think dhalia and remax are malta's two biggest rental/real estate agencies.
Also I'll repeat what's been said over and over again in this thread... Don't hesitate to get in touch with Matt. He's an agent at dhalia and posts here as matt81. He's efficient, reliable, always on top of things and just great to deal with in general. Ok I'll stop here before my posts turns into an ad for Matt's work, you get it!
