Being racist to only a part of the world's population is still considered racism. I have been to maybe three dozen countries and nowhere have I heard so many ignorant and openly racist remarks.

Illegal black immigrants is different from legal immigrants. But I still feel like they look down on all foreigners.

haha ty, no doubt!

o anybody could answer my above question about getting money out would be great.. do people just use their bank cards at the atm's from where the account was opened and just accept the charges?

thinking about this im guessing most people are from europe and already have bank accounts in euros, not pounds, so its not really an issue for you...

FYP!

u should search in Sliema or St. Julians exclusively imo. Matt81 is a poster here and prolly the best real estate agent on the island so he will deliver what u r searching for...

Nightlife is almost entirely located at St. Julians...
Good food for the most part u will find in St. Julians and Sliema as well as far as u can consider Maltese food as good

However the good beaches are on the other end of the island (Melliha for example). But I don't recommend living there bc of few bitches and no party...

ya ^^^^^^ this is right from what i've heard and experienced.

If you need beaches etc. its such a small island that only a quick ride to get to them to chill during the day. not worth living over that side for that benefit vs the advantages of living near st. julians.

How old are you guys? I'm sooo sick of school right now (university) and I'm thinking about relocating to Malta in april-may next year (thought about this for quite some time so it's not solely because the weather right now sucks) and staying for a couple of months, hopefully 'til august so I can have the option to get back in school.

I'm not a baller (playing HUPLO50/100) so I'd prefer getting a job for the security.. Still think it's easier to work on my game and finally putting in some serious hours to hopefully get up to levels where I can actually make a (good) living on poker. I think my chances of this is drastically higher if I relocate and don't stay in the same cycle of life all the time.

So I'm basically hoping to get a job, find an apartment and moving down to grind/have fun a couple of months.. Ez game lol. :/. To get back to my original question I'm 23 right now and will be 24 by next summer and I think I would be really old compared to a lot of you and am just looking for some encouraging words from people of my age etc.. Or to hear the truth so I'm getting out of my bubble.

Any help is very helpful. I already know where to look for jobs/apartments, more looking for tips from personal experiences that somewhat similar to how my future (might) look, thanks.

nah i doubt you would feel old lolz. i've just turned 22 and tbh i think most people playing da poker in malta are like 21-29. plus also in the casinos i think if your from malta you have to be 25 to enter so i wouldn't worry about age at all...

i dunno how easy it would be to get a real job, obv i have no idea about your qualifications but just personal preference i would always like to fund anything i do abroad via poker. esp if you have no idea if its gtd and relying on it, so if poss win more

how do I get my computer and screens to malta best?

take them with me on the plane (guess very expensive?)
or ship them via mail (guess the workers throw the packages so they might break)?

Or can I use for example fed ex and insurance the packages?
that shouldnt cost more than 150 or so right?
how fast would they arrive if I shipped them from germany?

many many thanks and

meh been looking into this and tbh it works out alot easier/cheaper to take them with you on the plane.

if you fly with ryan air i think its like 30 euros extra per case so can just put computer in that etc. not sure if you should take monitor or buy them out there. mine are relativly new and i still have the box/packaging so should be ok to transport.

also if you are renting an apartment but sorting it out when you arrive then obv u might not act have an address to send it to. overall i would suggest the plane route and keeping them with you, but package them up well.

yeah but I hope I could find someone in malta (ty 2p2) to ship to,
if its way cheaper than taking them with me
(one of my screens is a 22" I could just buy a new one but the other one is a 28" and worth 360€)
I could even give money for that..

guess I will have to look into shipping prices myself,
just hoping somebody else already did the work for himself already
and can save me the googling
