I'm taking diving lessons soon for sure, you get the license for only €350? That's not much at all. Not sure if I can afford it right now but I'm deff doing it later this summer.

Diveshack at Sliema seems like the best school in this area, done some research today on a dutch Divingforum, most of them prefer Gozo for diving but after we have a licence we can still go there obv, shouldnt cost that much to rent all the equipment

http://www.divemalta.com/course/PADI...0Water%20Diver

So its 350, but you also need some extra stuff, like a manual and planner o/s, cost another 45eu, Divewise at St Julians is also a good school and there you can just borough that stuff and the course is also cheaper, 335eu..

So if youre up for it this week, maybe next week, say which one you prefer, guess the one at st julians ? lemme know in time (like today)

Alex; lemme know what youre plans are also, (also today pls) cause i dont care to go alone and this is just annoying, i asked it here, send you a text today, asked daniel whats up and he says youre sitting right a cross the table and ask's if i have your msn, i say no, and then he's quite all of the sudden and says 30 minutes later that he's busy, pretty tiltin fwiw and i dont need that

I woke up late today. I sent you a text, wtf, I thought you blew me off.

I'm still figuring out if I'm going to the states in the next few days, so I can't commit to anything. If it turns out I'm staying in Malta over the summer I'm totally down. Sorry can't commit to anything more

Dorftrottel: there seem to be people coming in every month so your best bet is to just ask here in this thread. Don't want to fill up my Skype with a gazillion people who are about to move down here, asking a gazillion questions and I have no idea who each individual is.

Ship me a PM or ask itt.

Well, how do you handle the (income-?) tax-payments, do you pay any? Also i wanna know how did you get your personal pcs and your stuff to the island.. if it's more than one suitcase.

You don't have to pay tax on poker income here. If you're gonna work in the betting industry the employer will obv take care of it.

I just shipped my stuff through the post office. Also shipped my PC which did not turn out ok, probably didn't pack it right or whatever but it turned up smashed. Should get some insurance back or w/e but didn't bother.

Most people down here use laptops with an extra monitor for grinding. If you pay a lil extra you can probably ship your stuff more securely with DHL or something like that.

That might be for a casual player, but how about a professional. It would be my only income, i prefer to tax it there trough a permanent-resident status (tax=15%)than taxing it in germany.
Does anyone of you have a permanent-resident status or do you know anyone who has it?

You don't have to pay tax on poker income at all. But if you absolutely want to I'm sure you can.
