poker is legit and taxable, yet you have to open a bank account to tax it
its a pain in the ass, forget the big banks (bov/hsbc) - they will tell you to **** off, even tho they would accept you in other country (eg hsbc in uk)
choose a smaller bank, prove that youre trustworthy by letting them exchange info with your previous bank account holder (back in your country) - if you have a normal money flow in your previous bank it should be enough to open an account here

if you dont have a bank account anywhere else (or its been empty/unused for last years), all you can do is to pick an investment bank, it still gonna be hard as hell, but with a decent starting deposit (25-100k) they will accept you
once you establish an account in investment bank you will have no longer any problem to open in a normal bank (but still the smaller one)

I'm thinking of renting a 2 or 3 bedroom place in St Julians or Sliema if I find 1 or 2 roommates here. Budget about 400€ per person. From mid-February for 6 months. Pm me if you're interested.

About me: 22 years. I've quit poker. I've lived in Malta before.

Hey,

We're planning to move to Malta in the St Julians or Sliema area, and are looking for a 3rd roommate (possibly 4th). Budget per person ~300€ for rent as a rule of thumb.

Message me if interested, we'll be more than happy to have a chat on skype

I have two used smartphones of which I'm willing to sell one cheaply before I'm leaving Malta on February 14.

60€ - Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini 8 GB

100€ - Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini 16 GB

Both are in OK condition and are working perfectly. I'm in Msida but I can come to St Julians. Please pm

Just received an answer from N26 :
Only permanent residents of our supported countries can open an account. Currently, we do not support Malta. This might change in the future.

N26 Alternative for Malta : https://www.nemeabank.com/ (Notice to depositors it's kinda scary )

Hey

Does anyone know where I can store a piece of luggage and pc monitor for about 10 days? At the airport it seems to be quite expensive...

Hi,
I'm about to move to a new place and have a room with 2 single beds that can be converted to a double available (from March 27) in St. Julian's right at the border to Sliema and 5mins from Balluta Bay. Apartment has a total of 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, big separate kitchen, big living room and has just been refurbished. I'm a former German poker pro and used to have a profile here (pes4fans) which got compromised and closed, I work in igaming, other person in flat is Norwegian and also working in igaming.

Price: 400€ + 50€ bills (including 100mbit internet connection) + 30€ cleaning lady once a week = 480€ all included.

We'd all move in at the same time, so there's an agent fee of 480 to be split by 3 = 160€ per person.

If anyone is interested, send me a message in Skype: patrichue

It's absolutely a tragedy that they didn't do more to preserve it. But hey, that's Malta for ya. I have many fond memories at the da window. So sad.
