How is with biciycle rentals? Are there any loundries avaliable (some appartments have washing maschine, some don't)? I would appriciate if you could recommend us what interesting is there to do at this location. Any help would be appriciated.
Also if anyone is up for a drink or food or maybe poker session it would be great.
No idea about bicycle rentals.
I don't know about the other areas but you should have no problem finding laundries in Sliema/St Julians...
Paceville you shouldn't need much help. Just take a walk and decide which bar/club is best for you if you are looking for cheap shots and drunk young people... Hugo's Terrace is usually your best bet if you are looking for something a little bit more serious. Oh, and Bedouin (club next to Dragonara hotel) which is open only on Fridays and usually has the best crowd on that day (probably best if you make a reservation).
If you like shisha, Hugo's middle east is a nice place to sit and have a coffee or a drink (not loud like a club) and relax smoking a shisha. If you are hungry ask for the food menu from (pizza and pasta) which has decent food and they can serve you at your table.
In Paceville you can choose from 3 casinos (Dragonara, Casino Malta and Portomaso). Casino Malta is probably your best bet, it's the newest and biggest.
When in Paceville, if you want to go swimming, you have limited choices on beaches. You can try the beach in St Georges Bay (in front of Hugo's Terrace). It's a small and usually crowded beach but like I said you don't have many choices around there.
The best beaches in Malta are mostly North (i.e Melieha, Golden Bay, Ghajn Tuffieha) etc (which are also mediocre at best if you ask me)... You should have better luck in Gozo (never been, but heard is decent), or you can always try Comino/Blue Lagoon (also never been but heard has nice waters). If you are not into beaches, you can always try the pool bars which are everywhere of course.
You can try the Portomaso Marina to have a coffee, nice and calm place. Also most restaurants there are decent if you're hungry. (If you decide to go for meat in Portomaso Marina choose "Do Brazil" instead of Buffalo Bill).
Recommended restaurants in St Julian's area: Meet Argentinian steakhouse (great food but on the expensive side) or U-Bistrot if you prefer something slightly cheaper and good value. If you like fish and don't mind the cost, Dolce Vita is also highly recommended. If you like sushi, Gocchi is a good and cheap choice.
When in Qawra you should visit Cafe Del Mar (preferably on a Sunday), a nice pool bar/club/restaurant. You can go from the afternoon relax at the pool, have something to eat at the restaurant (which is decent enough) and then stay and have drinks/party till late at night (good crowd and music if you 're into house music). Also best if you make a reservation and since you are big group of people, ask for the sofas next to the pool.
The rest areas you mentioned, I have never been.
PS: If you guys feel like it, take a 1-day or 2-day trip to Sicily. I always recommend it when people come visit me. It's close (1.5 hours by ferry) and cheap enough (Check Virtu Ferries for more info, ~75eur per person for 2-way ticket). Good value to visit a different country. Also there are great beaches, something pretty hard to find in Malta (believe it or not). If you decide to go, best is to rent a car and decide where you want to swim/eat (tripadvisor is your friend). Taormina is one of the most beautiful places to visit, other choices are Noto/Syracuse etc.
Enjoy!
