Hey,

I am flying to Malta at the 26th of August and moving in to my apartment at the 1st of September. I could choose to stay in a hotel, but I thought it would be cooler to make some friends already, and rent/stay in a room of somebody who is living there already. My gf is also coming. Would be cool, thanks in advance.

Edit: So I mean to stay or rent for 6 days.

"Hello,

We are 2 grinders coming down to Malta for 5-8 weeks (maybe longer). Coming down as soon as possible, hopefully in august.

Any suggestions where to find short let appartments? Tried to read some pages backwards but couldnt find.

Only interested in appartmants in ST julians area.

Thanks in advance. "

I called up remax from the OP and said what I needed and they found me one pretty quick.

I think I got ripped off , cause it was 2500euro/month ( for 10 weeks) and not that great , but I needed my own place.

add me on Skype if you like ( or anyone else) yaaarny

If you don't sign a lease for approx 6 months+ you're not getting it for a good price. But there literally is answers to the exact question less than 10 posts up. Your best bet is to try and get in contact with fellow poker players who need a roommate for that period.

I went a few times (first time in my life) but paying 55E for 30-ish minutes with an instructor is pretty meh. That's in Mellieha btw which seem to be the cheapest. Most expensive one I called was Portomaso who charges 40E for 20 minutes w/o instructor lol.
Renting a boat with a few people would be possible but they won't let you pull with those self drive speedboats.

i'll prob get my own boat but that's next year.. You're welcome to join if you're still here/I'm actually buyin it

btw kitesurfing seems way more popular off-season when there's more wind

Hey all, my apartment contract expires 1st of September and I am looking for a new place to stay, preferably in Sliema.

Does anyone have a room for rent, or could someone point me in the right direction as to where I should look?

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions about me.

What does it mean when drivers in Malta reply to a honk with another honk? "fu too"?

They are very passionate

Don't know if you've visited Malta before but infrastructure, traffic, geography, heat, all just not really conducive to a good cycling experience. You can look for 2nd hand bikes on maltapark. No idea about new ones.

Yeah don't bring a cycle bike , I was gonna buy one out here and I'm not even contemplating it after being here a week.

Anyone know my best shot to get a 28+" monitor

Hi guys, first post here.

I am a Greek sports punter thinking about moving to Malta.

I guess it's clear now that gambling is not tax-free in Malta, it's just easy to get away through e-wallets or offshore banking.

I've consulted a couple of accountants in Malta. No surprises there, the answer I got was to set up a company (two to be precise).

I've seen this option mentioned in this thread a few times. I was wondering, has anyone actually done it?

taxi from airport is your only choice if you dont want to walk or rent a car anyway..taxi should be 30-35€.
you can also take the bus (X2?) for 1,50€, but i dont know about the bus schedules on sunday nights.

Well, since the last ferry to Gozo apparently leaves at 23:45, I guess a cab would be his only option.
