If you like the Asian cuisine then you have to go to Blue Elephant at the Hilton. It is one of the nicest place with good service. Also Zest is fantastic. If you want to eat more Arabic, Indian cuisine, Suruchi, Sharma.
Meat: Meat and Co. , Argentina Steak house,
Fish: I don't remember of the name but it is besides Intercontinental hotel in Paceville.

Of course this is kind of subjective thing, but you just named some average (not terrible however) restaurants. Badass burgers might actually be best burger in Malta which is kind of sad though

Ta'Kris by the Sliema Ferries is amazing for maltese authentic food, much better than Gululu, not such a nice enviroment/views but food is better for sure.

Chapter One - best restaurant from what I have visited, I can guarantee you wont be disappointed. Zest is also very nice for Asian food. Venus in Buggiba is close to or same level as Chapter One, the Chefs used to work together before Hiram (Chapter one owner/chef) left to Paris, and he basically got taught by the Venus Chef (forgot his name). That explains why both restaurants are amazing.

Tarragon restaurant in St. Pauls Bay is supposed to be another amazing one, same tier as Chapter One/Venus, but I have never tried that one - definitely on the list for this year.

Last thing worth posting that comes on my mind - those french people do deliveries only, when you browse the photos few days back you get some idea what kind of meals they are doing. Much better alternative to restaurant deliveries (except couple great restaurants that still deliver like Zest, but they are like 3x expensive than those French guys):

Hope that helped

Anyone know of a Paysafecard outlet close to Bugibba?
Charlie’s Stationery in Buggiba is not selling them anymore, so have to take the long way to Oggetti Stationery in Gzira to get them

Does it make sense to go to Paceville to party on a Sunday evening.
I am only here for one week and dont have the possibility to go on Saturday. So what is the best evening for me?

I heard during season (while the language students are there) it's party every weekday.

Maybe someone can tell what months that is?

Anyone working as a odds trader fo trotting or racing?

Got an Italian friend who just moved here, he's got an economics degree and experience from bettingshops in Italy.

He is really passionate about horses and I'm he would be the perfect fit for any company looking to hire ´.

He's been at the track on Malta every Sunday and learned from some of the old timers at the track in Milano, and his family used to own horses 10+.

Any tips or suggestions are much appreciated!

Just check it out.

Don't think the strippers have the night off so you should be ok.

Strippers will be there but what about tourist girls? Is it good in May? What about October etc. When does the party season start and end?

I've been to Badass Burgers today and St Juliens was full of people, but there were not that many of these language travel girls in the city so maybe I have to try again in the next days.
Which are the best clubs in the Sliema/St. Juliens area?

Hey guys, my girlfriend and I are planning on arriving in Malta mid-May. We have never been there, and plan on getting some help moving, but the more information the better. I have read this thread some, but was just wondering for the guys living there now if there is current up to date good places to stay. Community names, good location, reliable Internet, safe area, all that good stuff. Any relevant info about anything regarding Malta I would be interested in reading. Thanks a lot!

Reading this thread gives you answers on 95% of all possible questions, but I'll be nice:

Good locations: Sliema, St julians to be close to the nightlife/restaurants etc. Swieqi, Sann Gwann, Gzira all close too, cheaper housing. Some pokerplayers live in other areas of the island but I cant comment on those.

Safe area: 99% of Malta

Most poker players (and foreigners in general) are living in the area btwn St Julian's, Sliema and Gzira. I would say that's the place to stay...
Malta is safe and internet is reliable from my own experience (except for some rare disconnections).

Hi all,
i'm looking for a room to stay from May 7th till end of May, and also for 2 rooms in the last week of june. And for a long term stay from August.

If i can't find any, i will try to set up a poker house.
I play NL50 and 100, some MTT's, and starting PLO. I try to have a healthy lifestyle, and improve my game to move up limits.

So, if anybody has a free room to rent or might be interested in joining for a pokerhouse, please let me know.

I'm moving to Malta in the middle of June, with the plan of staying for 6-9months.

Anyone have a room available or want to join in renting a nice place together? My preference is it be in St.Julians or closeby.

Bit info about me from other thread

If anyone is interested please PM with skype and lets have a chat.

With that budget you could probably find a nice penthouse for yourself and rent out a room or two if you find some people you want to live with.

For cheaper apartments it's really easy to find roommates to rent out a room to in Malta, but as always you have to be careful. There are a fair few shady people people on the island.

If you want an idea of what is available try to email some estate agents with your budget and you when need the place, the websites are rarely properly updated and lots of apartments listed are already rented out or available after the summer.

Good luck, and welcome to Malta!
