Scheme is not rly for players, lotta paperworks and if u let a company handle those stuff for u u pay them a fortune. Imo this whole tax situation gets blown out of proportion anyways. When I started 5 years ago I was freaking out, looking at all options, didnt know what to do etc. until I came to a point where I said **** it nothing is going to happen anyways as long as I leave germany and dont come back.

Cliffs: unless u make like 500k/year people should just chill alot moar

could you wriite some more ? is that doable for a player ? what size of extra cost do you expect for an egsample 100k income ?

No clue, my guestimate would be them charging 2-5k eur for paperwork taxdeclaration and stuff. If u rly plan to be in malta 5years + it might be worth a shot. That being said no sane person stays in malta longer than 5 years

I know a lawyer/taxman that fixes taxes for poker players. He also knows people that can set you a company in cyprus, and you end up paying very little tax, but it costs 5k a year or so if i remember it correctly. And its only more beneficial than regular tax paying if you make 100k+. If you want his email PM me.

PS. Also i was moving around 5 and 6 digit sums from my bank account to ground casino's and also online poker rooms. Opened first account in 2010. So far no tax people got to me. But i admit i would'nt do it again this way. Better be cautious and stick to neteller/moneybookers, you stay under the radar that way. In fact im moving all my funds out of malta now and im gonna close all of the accounts.

Hey guys i m considering to spend summer in malta. Does anybody have a free room in pokerhouse from May or June till August or September? I am playing nl50 for living in Slovakia at the moment.

If no what is the prize for rent?

Thanks

The price in that period of the year is usually pretty high because of tourists, especially if you are planning to stay in the Saint Julian/Sliema area: unfortunately I can't say exactly how much.

If you want to be close to but not in st. Julian's your looking at Sliema or Swieqi, maybe Pembroke/San gwann. Certainly the first two have lots of poker players living there. Which place is best really depends on what you're looking for - plenty of players are quite happy living further afield.
