Thanks for making it happen, was really fun and it was so sick having a pile of awesome dealers doing all the math and cardwork!

hi folks,

flying over from germany in the middle of may, still don´t know how long i will stay, i´m pretty excited about it, since i know nobody in malta. I´m curious if it´s possible to have a beer or two at someones place or something, would like to have a nice chat with some poker people. I mean i could also start asking a bunch of questions here in the thread and stuff, but talking and drinking seems to be much more fun anyway...

greetings

Read the last 100 posts in this thread and all questions will have been answered a few times.

It's literally on every second page at the very most as that's what everybody asks when they get here. Std answer is it depends. I get by with 600e a month and have all I need to be a happy camper. The guy u quoted spends 10x that and is happy too. Std question std answer: it depends. And if h check a few pages back that's exactly what u ll find too and that's all that ppl will ever tell you till u start asking more elaborate and detailed questions

Off to bed Gnite

Internet €30/month for 30Mb line

Electricity about €2.50/day
Water 50c a day

Approx. average

on my 2 bed big flat using actual figures over the past year...

I'm an expenses nerd, I know...

Electricity/Water goes through the landlord, billed to him and he gives me the bills to pay.

Internet, I paid a €70 deposit (I think)? More info on prices/terms on

http://www.melita.com/personal/internet/packages/

You prolly have to get an ID card to sign up for it. That used to be super easy but it changed recently so it's hard and long.

If you share with someone they already have internet installed, and some rentals come with it too....look around.

For Go or Melita it's 2 years. With Go you pay a 115 euro fine when you terminate the contract. Think it s around the same with Melita.

In fairness, it didn't exactly play out like 50NL online

yeah think its like 75 with melita but prob some other charge involved. U need only passport id to sign up, malta ids are a bit of a disaster atm because they`re converting to a new type pretty soon. Melita has been excellent but disconnected on tuesday for several hours while roomate was in super tuesday and i had 300k stack on party Wud recommend a back-up or at least knowing where to go if it disconnects

I hear the pub black and gold in sliema has excellent wi-fi if ur ever caught- anyone know any other places that wud work late at nite?

Still have apartment for rent, pm if interested. Alternatively if u have a free room u can pm me as well

There's this cafe type bar on first floor of bay street mall that usually is open really late and has free wifi. Went there a few times last year when I just moved and I had no internet yet.
