Best restaurant in St Julian's (and probably all Malta) is Chapter One : http://www.chapteronemalta.com/

Chief is a young guy who learned to cook in a very good french restaurant. He's making very very interesting association and all the ingredients are top-quality (which is pretty rare). Price isn't an issue for poker players but it's also pretty cheap for the quality standard (Main course was about 22-25€ 1 yr ago)

Is a 27" monitor an option aswell? In this case you could go to a Mac store and buy Mac's 27" monitor.
I honestly haven't been able to come up with a good reason to get a 30" over a 27". I have a U2711 from Dell and it has 2560*1440 resolution.
It's actually better for almost anything outside of poker and with poker you won't be able to get more than six tables on screen without resizing with either the 27" or the 30".

Hi,
I just arrive in Malta. If someone send a good pc-chair (aero is better), MP me. I ll probably buy a tower and 1 or 2 27" screen, so if someone leave and sell, MP me.

they have good stuff as well but most has to be delivered which takes again at least 2weeks...

if money isn't an isue roll with finos - they have a pretty nice showroom as well...
I went to both stores earlier this week - thanks for the recommendation Tim - and both only have exposition models, with orders taking between two and six weeks to process.
Bsl-lifestyles for some reason didn't want to part with exposition models, but Fino had no problem selling me one. Their selection also seemed much better, although a bit more expensive.

Funny post... there's a huge difference between 2560*1440 and 2560*1600, which most online poker playing professionals should realize.

Fwiw 9tablingnit, I've traveled with a 30" quite a few times and so have friends. Bubble wrap and a fixed position in the suitcase is all it takes, really.

Gotta say im pretty happy with 2560 x 1440 as well- 160 is only an extra half a small table in length anyways

The three biggest on the island are dhalia, re-max and frank salt.
I'd personally try dhalia first. Good properties, good service.

Note: In Malta a lot of properties are offered by multiple real-estate agents. The first one who show's you receives the provision. I've had a couple of agents offering me the same place

Would you care to elaborate what the huge difference is which most professional online poker players should realize?

Had a separate thread for this but got closed after 2 months, won't post any updates here but would like to point out every now and then that if anyone is looking for a job in iGaming here in Malta to contact me if they need any help.

My Skype is: pietjek075 if you have any questions, also have a FB page where I will post hot roles: Freelance Betting Consultant.

Piet

Booked my flight for thursday. So pumped.
Hopefully meet Matt soon after that and find a nice apartment.
Looking forward to meet some cool people, still some pokerplayers there over the winter?

Yeah and obv, if someone is selling a monitor or has a room I'd be interested too.
A beer is fine too.

Hi all

Will be moving to Malta in the next month or so and would appreciate any advice on which agency to use for getting an apartment?

Have been to Malta before and would probably be looking for somewhere in Silema. There will be a couple of us so any kind of property could be suitable from apartments to villa's etc

Any advice would be most welcome.

Thanks

I'm going out with a few guys tonight (Saturday) too. We'll be at Dubliner by 10 pm, probably outside smoking, drinking pints and likely talking about poker or perhaps even something deeper. We're around 30 years old. We always welcome new blood if anyone wants to meet up.

Hy there,
I can see that there are a lot of poker players in Malta and I was wondering if you can tell me how are the live games there?
Are there many casinos? and in witch area are concentrated?
And most important how are the games? I can assume that if there are a lot of turists on the island the games aren`t so tough and you can exploit this fact.
I`m trying to decide my next location between Prague and Malta so any feedback would be great, thanks.
