i posted b4 here i think a couple days ago. Just got back from a 6 month stay in bangkok and staying in Malta for 2 weeks in my friends awesome 3k euro/month apartment right by the sea in St Julians. The apartment even has a chair from the movie Troy where teh awesome Brad Pitt sat on himself!

last night i walked to the casino but there was a huge line n wasnt really to bothered so i just turned back. i did see some pretty ladies though so i figured i'll have to return someday to try n pickup.

I did realise that the nightlife here really really sucks compared to bangkok though I'm already missing Spice Club on soi 11 and Scratch dog on soi 20 (anyone here been to bkk before? :P)

hey u ganja smokers, plz dont talkabout/advertise weed or any kind of drugs, i know a few ppl who got serious problems with smoking that crap for several years now.
one of them is in psychiatry clinic right now.

i know some ppl can live with it, but their quality of life is reduced anyways, or will be in the future. i know what im talking about because i was smoking that crap for 10(ten) years myself, me and none of my friends had the same quality of life we had be4 smoking ganja. the majority of them quitted during the last 5 years anyways, so why do you think they quitted? a few cant quit but they want to.

ganja is that dangerous because it doesnt hurt your body as alcohol would do. after partieng too much and drinking lots of alcohol you feel bad the next day so you dont want to or cant drink alcohol every single day. But after smoking ganja you do not, you simply sleep 2 hours more, you waste your time in the evening and you sleep longer, so in total you waste about 4-5 hours per day of your beatiful life.

Soon you will realize that it hurts your social life and that hurts alot. then you will only hang around with ppl who smoke ganja also. You will loose contact to friends who dont smoke or you will live 2 lives, one with your ganja friends and one with your real friends. And one day you will start smoking daily, that is the beginning of the misery. After a few month/years smoking daily you start trieng to quit, you dont want to smoke and you will maybe do that for weeks or even month, but as soon as you touch it again, your into it again.

I dont say it works out that way for every single person, but for the majority and ALL of my ganja friends (ten to twenty ppl) it worked out that way. Im not a priest and i dont want to be, but my friend is in psychiatry clinic right now and that hurts, i just want to spread my experience with that drug, maybe one single person quits because of that and that would be way more than what i expected. i just want you to think about it and keep in mind that as soon as you start smoking a few days per week, the misery has begun. my brother for example is only smoking once or twice a week but he already realized that its no good for him and he tried to quit. he did that for a few month but then he started again, its just so damn hard to control it. After having experienced my friends and my own life, i can tell you you cant control it. you simply cant. you think you can, but one day you realize you cant.

i have some of my friends who told me, "damnit if i had never started smoking my life would be totally different, i would be hanging around with other ppl alot more and having fun in social life. i would have had much more fun with friends and chicks". But now its too late, they wont have a 2nd youth.

just smoke it if you need to but dont talkabout/advertise it plz. or quit as long as you can do that easily.

while i appreciate your sentiments this is a light-hearted chatter thread and i really don't think a few comments about weed/alcohol etc are any big deal at all.

if we're not allowed to talk about it because a few of your friends have had bad experiences then where does it end? i know a few guys back home that have a drinking problem, does that mean we can't talk about nights out in paceville on here?

RiverMe I appreciate you sharing with us, lets just say I'm the kind of guy who don't jump into anything without knowing every little piece of fact about it and the truth is, marijuana is not proven to be physically addictive. It is however psychologically addictive, just like food, shopping and various other things you can get "addicted" to.

I'm not sure where you have been but the nightlife here in Malta is supposedly quite awesome. We don't have prostitutes in the clubs here though like in Thailand if that's what you're missing. :P There are lots of great parties and events here and Paceville is pretty good though you get slightly tired of it.

Also, who goes to the CASINO to pick up chicks? :P

I ended up like €500, more then 20bi's. Was fun..hehe, won a 1000bb++ pot from Amir.

in the end frode had like 550€ and i left with rest 150€ or so, pretty awesome for .25 game hahaha

I got a bit confused cause you keep saying diffrent names on diffrent places until I realised that Paceville, Sliema and St. Julians all are pretty close. Now, I really suck at looking at maps, but how far is Sliema and Paceville really? It looks pretty packed.
Also, where do all the gaming companys have their offices? Actually, I'm more interested in what gaming companys have their offices near Sliema/St. Julans/Paceville

Just a quick question, I'm from the US and I noticed that I do not need a Visa to visit Malta. Can I just stay as long as I like since it's not really tracked as to when I actually arrived or when I'm supposed to leave (I read something like every 90 days or so)?

I would really like to move there for several years and just play online. I assume as long as I pay my bills and don't get in trouble with the police I would be okay...? Any advice is greatly appreciated!
