All of you guys who are thinking of Thailand should consider the Philippines given the current political situation imo. It's highly similar. Low cost of living, tropical lifestyle, great beaches, hookers (if you're into that) and not particularly hard to pick up normal girls either. As a plus everyone speaks english, although to be fair Bangkok is slightly more developed (going around Bangkok you feel like the city has a bit more wealth than Manila).
