Playa del Carmen is great (planning on coming back here for the beginning of next year). I have been here for six months and loved it more and more every day. Basically, I still live with my parents and am trying to give poker a real shot. Problem is, it is very hard to do here as I have no support and can not give poker my full attention and focus. I would really like to move in with some like minded people and have a place just to grind poker, improve, and eventually be a regular at the higher stakes. I use to be a regular NL 1/2 6 max player but had stopped playing due to family issues. I started again about a week ago and have a 1.5k online roll. Have been here almost 2 years doing poker after leaving the NYC area. Wouldn't mind having one or a few poker roomates down here whether that be Guayaquil, Salinas (Montanita) or Cuenca. Have friends and connections (and lots of girls as they love gringos) in all of these places but only one current poker buddy that moved down to play online tournies through Poker Refugees (and me as I rep them in Ecuador). He currently lives a block from me. Also, lived with a cool guy from Ireland who was a 100-200nl zoom crusher in Cuenca for 3 months but he moved home and I came back to Guayaquil.
