agree wiv vish

Also, vish, I am just bigging up the riverfront area of Phnom Penh... it is really nice and both the fishy poker room and the ease of acquisition and public acceptance of bananas are two important things (to me) that you do not have in Thailand. I have not ventured out anywhere, and have seen very little - but, what I have experienced is quite nice. I am certain there is much I do not know (many of which I would make efforts not to know) that is sad, scary and off-putting... but, I am just telling my experience thus far.

There are a lot of poor Cambodians for sure. It is a bit sad walking down the street sometimes. They hit up the tourists pretty hard with babies and missing limbs, etc. You try and help people with a buck here and a buck there, but there are so many. It is a bit sad, and if I decided to live here, I would definitely volunteer somewhere to help with food and clean water.

Poker Spiv:

I have not seen any swimming pools, but I will ask around.

What's up with all the bananas? Is that a secret word for weed or something ?

my first $5USD purchase was meh - fine for me, but not hydroponics by any means. I still am eating from my first purchase of bananas. I have been offered the dank here, but I do not know how much it costs. Been told it exists.

i've read that high quality bananas exist in shianoukville (or rather easier to get). probably still outdoor quality, but probably a bit less harsh.

I'm not a banana man myself anymore, but I've been here long enough to know most of them are crap. However there are a couple of Red Fox's players that get really good ones, so I know they're available.

Actually there's quite a few of them popping up within walking distance of Naga Casino. Buddy of mine stayed here recently: http://www.lesafranlasuite.com/. It was nice and I think he paid $35. Maybe half mile from Naga, even closer to nightlife spots on St. 278, and only half a block from one of the big modern gyms in the city.

Hi all you grinders in Phnom Penh.

I did read some of the articles about Nagaworld, seems interesting place, not just for poker but for hanging around a bit as well.

I was wondering about the 1$/2$ games. The buy inn is minimum 200$ with no maximum. There is my question:How is the game in general, its not like crazy due to the unlimited buy inns?So somebody with real moneypower is hoping to get lucky one time or is the game a structured one?

And are there any Omaha games as well?

Thanks already.

Look back a few pages to Slifdog's review on Nagaworld. He has a good writeup of the poker scene in general in the past few pages.

Any go-gos in Phnom Penh or Sihanoukville?

Slifdog, which is better Angeles City or Phnom Penh if you disregard live poker?

RealOmahaKid:

I did not see any go-go's in Phnom Penh (nor Sihanoukville, but I was just there for 2 days). There may be, I just did not see them. There are several hostess bars with girls aplenty and freelancer bars / clubs - but I did not see any straight up go-go's.

I like Phnom Penh A LOT better than Angeles City. Phnom Penh is a full fledged growing capital city with art, culture, shopping, etc. Angeles City is simply a pit of sin (although fun).

Angeles City is basically a less classy version of Pattaya without the beach.

Just back from Cambodia, Nagaworld has the juiciest cash games ive seen anywhere. $1,2 games basically plays like a $3,6

Had too many bananas? You mean the other way around?

Seriosuly, is there any advantage to visiting/living in Cambodia instead of Vietnam? Assuming poker is not a priority.

From what I hear Vietnam >>>>>> Cambodia.

I grinded Naga for 3 weeks solid in April, and I ranked it a 7 out of 10 (I have played a LOT of places around the world), but upon reflection, I think I am going to bump it up to a 8 out of 10 in terms of juiciness / fishiness. I still think that many casinos in Florida are fishier and the commerce / california smaller limits can be fishier at times. There were always at least 4 SEMI-competent regs at every naga table I sat down to play.

Out of curiosity, where is your local casino (basis of comparison)?
