Oh I'm just a recreational poker player and don't keep stats. I like to play here and there and follow what's going in the city since I first came to Sihanoukville in 2016

For low stakes like 1/1, 1/2 and 1/3 best games are at DV casino but Queenco is the most generous as they offer free accommodation, free food and nice rake back, as high as $15/hr,

In DV the rake in 1/1 and 1/2 game is 10% capped at 5bb. In queenco the rake in 1/2 is 5% capped at $25.

How come youre a rec and living in Sihanouk off all places? What u do for a living?

It's a long story but I first came to Sihanoukville while travelling in SEA in 2016 because I had read about its poker scene online and I wanted to experience it. It was actually though 2+2 that I got the necessary info. This was before the Chinese first came so it was a very different place back then. I did have several opportunities to get involved with poker (on the room management side let's say) but I decided to run another business (not at all related to poker) which expanded to several Cambodian cities while always keeping Sihanoukville as the headquarters. Sihanoukville did go through some hellish periods when the Chinese-boom just started but things have vastly improved since then. Sihanoukville is still kind of a weird city on certain aspects but it's an interesting place to be located at with high development potential. It's also well connected to neighbouring places likes Bangkok,HCM for Bali or example if one wants to sometimes travel / change environment / skip the rainy season for a while. Are you based in Phnom Penh? You mentioned that you play(ed) at Naga?

Another thriving place in sihanoukville is the Gobo East Poker Room which is near the 2 Lions Monument. It has 9 tables with games ranging from 1/3 to 20/40/100. They also have PLO and short deck and will start having tournaments this coming week

Hey Sihanouk still the place to go for PLO these days? Currently in Thailand and tired of the private game nonsense. Can you play on stars as well? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

A couple of new poker rooms opened this week. One is in Nanhai Casino and the other is in Xing Tian Di Casino in Otres 1

Queenco has started offering PLO $1/2. Gobo east have $5/5 game but usually starts very late like 10pm. DV casino ocassionally has but only $1/1

Most if not all poker rooms here are inside the casinos, so they are all legal and safe to play

The chance is not zero obv, but yeah the casinos are all legal, and rk/pk are known for their good relations with authorities, let's put it like that. I would be more worried about cheating tbh, snooky casinos have a reputation for that, several stories are known, you can read some of that here also if you scroll back a bit more. And what is known is likely the proverbial tip of the iceberg. Obv that doesn't mean that all is rigged, probably the vast majority of games are fine. But it is something to be aware of...

That 1/1 game at dv casino is very much beatable even with high rake because level of play is worse than 2nl online

Yeah cheating are quite a problem in some games esp with the chinese. Several months ago, marked cards were discovered in queenco

Can someone please elaborate on these promotions?? I went to Queenco's website and couldn't find anything about this. If the freebies are really this legit, I would go there in a heartbeat.
