The worst was probably in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. I lived there 6 months and I swear over 90% of the time I passed a group of middle aged white women they were complaining about something. Just go to Florida next time and spend 3x as much for a worse experience please.

These people are just nits.
Sez the person that's busy defining to the minute detail of what irony and sarcasm mean.... talk about being a nit

In Mexico, the touristy places eg cancun acapulco cabo etc etc make a conscious decision to appeal to american tourists over south americans.. as the locals say americans spend more. What they probably didn't expect is that out of these Americans visiting, some would claim superiority over others and complain on the internet years later about middle aged women of the same country that had just as much right to visit as you ;-)

I'm going to take this to the next level of nittery: I believe it was actually "verbal irony", which is ironic since this obviously isn't verbal.

As bad as any nation's tourists are (recently I've had bad luck with Italians), there are a lot of Chinese tourists and they have a far higher chance of being awful. This is mostly true near China where the cost of leaving the country is minimal.

I gotta say French have to be the worst for locals. Just yesterday, This poor Japanese waitress was trying her best to explain the menu in English to this French couple. Of course they have to reply to her in French, creating more confusion for the waitress. This went on for about 10 minutes. Those people clearly understood English, because they replied the correct answer using French.

Or this other couple at the airport i witnessed on new year day. this French lady couldn’t understand why the random airport staff couldn’t speak French. Of course she had to make a scene out of it, her boyfriend looked very confused too.

There's a difference between understanding English (or any language for that matter) and being able to actively speak it. If lingual stuff is the most you can mention I'd say the French have nothing e.g. on (certain) Brits and a few others...

For sure. And I love (not!) how it is being assumed that one (or at least a French couple) needs to speak/understand English in Cambodia, but no mention of learning/speaking Khmer... Hummm, Anglo-saxon privilege much

Hello,

I am currently grinding everyday at 7Deuce Poker in Sihanoukville, Cambodia, mostly at the 2/5 table and I give you a little update about this poker room.
Generally speaking, I am having a great time playing here, competent dealers, friendly management, full 1/1 tables from 3pm to morning and 2/5 full table with mostly chinese people start at 8pm. No Insurance, no funny stuff, imo perfect buy in rules (Min.$20 to Max.$200 on 1/1 and $300 to $1000 on 2/5).

Full disclosure: I am grindind in this poker room for a few month, became friend with the staff/management; That doesn't mean my review isn't perfectly honest, I just want to share my experience

Did you check other rooms as well? How do they compare in general? Do games start at similar times?

Yes many games in the city currently.

Appart from the 7Deuce game, I went a few times to La Vogue and Atlantic last month, the management is chinese, tables are good, usually all chinese players and games hours/blinds depend a lot on the players on the particular day you go there.
I think la Vogue and Atlantic both start normally at 8pm and regular blinds must be 5/5 but it changes a lot, sometime they also do smaller afternoon game and they also do higher stakes like 10/20 or even higher but again it depends...

There are also many other games in chinese casinos, I haven't checked out yet but I saw many advertising for texas hold'em in unknown chinese casinos on the back of tuktuks these last days...
I am not fond of insurrance that's why I mostly play at DV casino but for someone who don't mind insurrance, games are great.

Hello,

thinking of doing a visa run to phnom penh from Thailand, not asking about that tho...

Whats the current state at Naga World?

- face masks?
- stakes, whats the lowest stakes Holdem game that runs regularly?
- do games run regularly, is it just evening/night games? any daytime action?
- do you sit around and wait for hours for a seat?

Thank you so much in advance for any insight into Naga world poker room!

Nothing about games, but do they still have those balloons down by the beach. That was a blast back in the 2014 days.

Face masks, don't worry, was never much of a thing in Cambo apparently, the rest you better look up at pokeratlas. Daytime is usually meh, but there's a WPT coming up, maybe you can time it

Or he's somewhere in countryside Cambo, many places there where it's unlikely to ever meet any poker player or foreigner for that matter. I've never been there, I know triad has been there, Vientiane has a small girly bar scene but not much apparently, nothing like TH or PP

I am in sihanoukville curently, many games and also tournaments in queenco and 7Deuce.
Games are running everyday in many places: la vogue, DV casino, atlantic, and some other chinese casinos I haven't yet checked. In DV where I play there are maybe 6 tables running everyday 1/1, 1/3, 2/5, 5/10 and even omaha every eveneing start at around 7pm. Games are pretty much running 24/24 lately.
Ask me any question about SHV, I'm glad to help

how about you read the post directly above yours?

and read the last 1-2 pages, it's been discussed a few times...
