There is a new chinese game near the Bridge that runs a deep stack 2/5 Holdem, I think min buy is 1k, I'll update when I have more info.

Naga is still running well, their games are generally good in the evening and their dealers have continued to improve a lot. Generally 1/3 and 2/5 Holdem.

(Please note I am associated with Poker King, however posting this info to update the current state of games)
I'm a regular traveller to PP to play poker, Where is Poker king location and what times are the games,
Also is there no concern of a raid as I read of raids for Pickled Parrot and Red Fox etc

Search for PokerKingCambodia on facebook. 1/3 NLHE starts at around noon. PLO later, maybe 3-4pm.

So is PokerKing "legal" to play in? I'll be in Phnom Penh for a couple days staying at Nagaworld. Would like to check out Poker King but can't really risk getting busted or anything.

Obv it has the same status as RK. Looks like it's basically RK 3.0 anyway

I'm not gonna claim it's valid, but this is what was told to me:

Very safe, the same protection as RK
We delayed our opening until we got full permission
The biggest point would be the bongs wouldn't play here if they didn't trust the protection

I don't know if I believe it given that technically Naga has a monopoly for 99 years or whatever it was. Just relaying some info.

Is this really the rake at naga? I heard people saying before that naga games are not worth it because of high rake but if this chart is correct 1/3 rake is like 5% with 5bb cap right? Seems good enough

Naga has 1/1 now? Is that new, I remember 1/3 being the lowest.

That should make the 1/3 games significantly worse, not a fan.

i never saw 1/1 run at naga last week. or ever on pokeratlas when i've looked.
1/3 runs nearly always, 2/5 runs very regularly (but normally only starts mid-afternoon), higher stakes never ran last week; but were available during appt (or whatever the tournament series was last month).
yes, rake cap $15 for 1/3, $20 for 2/5.

Did you play any 1/3 or 2/5 last week, and if you did how are the games?

i think 1/3 is really soft. sometimes the table isn't great, then just ask for a table change. most pots should have lots of open limping and limp-calling.

the 2/5 games that ran were quite bad, but limited sample size of course.

i'd say the 1/3 games were clearly softer than in vegas and the 2/5 games are worse than in vegas.

but ymmv and other (better) players might disagree.

This is pretty on point.

There will be a free xmas buffet tomorrow if anyone doesn't have any Christmas plans they are welcome to join. It will be on from Noon and everyone is welcome, no need to play.

Games currently are 1/3 Holdem at noon, 1/3 PLO at 3pm. 1/3 PLO has went overnight a few times this week. Both can get fairly deep as the BI is 100-1000, and the rake is a flat 15 5%. There was a deep 5/5 (500-2k) NL last night with a 20 cap that hopefully will start running more often.

I don't have much updates on the other games of late, as I haven't really had time. The Chinese Ming Men game seems to be running 2/5 daily, I have a friend that's been doing well at Naga.

was last time 2014 in cambodia
now returned few days ago. seems a lot changed.
when i remember right 2014 when i came from airport to riverside i didnt saw much cars. now much more cars. but maybe just samplesizebias. but everything looks better.

got two questions
1.) whats the max stay for a europe guy. 30days i got arrivel, i think i can extent 30days more. any other options, like for example in thailand education visa or elite visa for cambodia?
2.) i like to calculate all my kcal intake cause diet -500kcal maintance. in thailand it was kinda ok, i had my base with oatmeal, walnuts, apples and carrot and in 711 shops i bought salad with fish and chicken where the kcal always stand.
but cambodia kinda hard , but maybe i dont find a right shop yet. only went to super duper grocery shop. i feel kinda everything is super expensive compared to other countries, even europe. probalby cause most import.
cheers

Others may have better/more updated info but AFAIK it is still relatively easy to get one year business visas. If you are on a tourist visa you may have to re-enter. And cost some money but much less than the Thai elite visa. There are a couple agencies in the city center you can inquire or ask staff at poker king, they can probably point you in the right direction.
Re: Naga, it used to be 5%, 20$ cap all levels, seems they diversified a bit, obv 15 ain't that bad

There are a few 7/11's in PP now. The two I'm aware of and probably most convinent for your location are on Riverside [HW8+VGG, Riverside Path, Phnom Penh], quite far down - not far from Royal Palace and another on Street 136, cross Street 13. They're an improvement on the other marts here for sure & marginally cheaper. Don't expect Thai standard of selection or as trained staff though.

If it's just really old but is a legit note, any bank should change it - tell them you got it from of their ATM's or smth if they say no. Failing that, go down 136 or riverside and sell it to a tuk tuk driver for $7.50 or w/e, they'll be all over that deal.

Where did you get it? Nowadays I'd be skeptical from the off given riel is used almost always used now for <$12.50.

got it from young hotel lobby boy. payed with 100$ bill for room and got 30$ or so back.

i think i stay in cambodia 1-2 months. i stay right now in some random 4stars hotel for 25$ a night, i asked if they have some monthly deal, but they only offered to upgrade my room.
im okay payng 750$ month for this hotel. but maybe someone knows some better alternative.

i only checked out Residence 110 Hotel and Apartment. they had some free rooms, but with contract and water/electriity seperate and 500$ deposit. price range monthly 400-600$, but my mobile internet was kinda crap at this far up the river. so i didnt consider it

The hotel that PK is in has a good monthly deal for $500 per month all in. It's a 4 star, but its a bit dated.
