FWIW and those who have asked, RK seems to be back at it with 1-2 tables of 1/3 NL/1-2 PLO running yesterday / today according to my feed. I'm out of country now so that is all I know

Thank you sir, this gives me hope it's just like the normal drug raids they do where the club in question just re-opens under the same name two streets down the block.

Weren't the players fined heavily last time? Is it ever +EV to play in non-Naga casinos henceforth???

Not in RK. From what I have heard, they are in a little different situation (owner-wise) than the other clubs.

Oh really, so the players that were playing at RK did not get fined then?

Effective October 4, 2022, Cambodia removes all remaining covid-related restrictions, including the test on arrival for unvaccinated tourists.

^^ truth?

The raids were at other venues, but it is not granted that RK could not be targeted obv. It would seem conceivable that they have better connections to the authorities than, say, redfox, but how much that really helps is up to debate...

Looks legit but should probably make sure they're still not giving rapid tests on arrival. Still a bit of conflicting (not updated?) information

Hey,
I am coming back from a trip to PP and Sihanoukville, here's a little update about the current games I've found fwiw.
I have spent only one night in PP, Naga is running as always and RK has reopened.
I've spent a week in Sihanoukville and turns out that there pretty decent games currently.
There are some games at the Atlantic Casino (1/3 and 5/5) and at La Vogue (1/3 and 5/5 also), I didn't test those games as I was looking for smaller stakes this time if I could find.
So I did test the new 1/1 game at DV Casino (which also holds a 5/5 game) ) for a couple of nights and it was a pretty good game: a mix of westerns and asian players mostly recreational players, no insurance or funny stuff. Casino is nice and everybody's friendly. They have some kind of Bonus for players who start at 4pm but I was starting later so I didn't grab it.
The main goal of my trip was to see if there was enough games running to justify to move to shv and there definitely are, so I am planning to move there in a few weeks. If you also considering to go there also you can contact me.

No mask wearing required in all of Cambo and basically Thailand too, save for some special stuff. Yes, the locals still tend to wear mask esp in Thailand but it's getting better too. When I was there recently it was already much better than in June. Just don't come to East Asia that's the last stronghold of the zombie masks. And maybe some countries in South America

I'll be shocked if the majority of Thailand isn't wearing masks outdoors a year from now. It's insane.

Tons of reasons to wear them apart from caring about Covid. Air pollution for one.

My girlfriend and I don't care about Covid anymore, but she still wears one on public transport, and she usually gets sick 3-4x a year, but hasn't in about 2 years.

I don't get sick often so don't usually wear one, but I might on days where air pollution is a lot higher than normal.

Nice POV's I really don't care personally to wear one and am (almost) surprised when I nowadays see folks wear one (in Canada), but (politically) shaming someone for wearing a mask seems as much out of place as the reverse stance was a year ago. Peace.

Yea, agreed the mask thing is mostly political nowadays but in some cities in SEA (and elsewhere) they're good against pollution. That said, the masks that work against pollution are the n95 right? For sure the classic medical masks wont help. Not sure how Cambo is wrt pollution but anything north of BKK in Thailand during Dec-May becomes absolutely terrible and you need to get into the mask/air purifier game or else you'll lose life expectancy 100%.

I remember in 2019, before covid, getting a mask along with my medication when I went to a pharmacy in Phnom Penh.

Makes a lot more sense than tissues we get here anyways. To each their own, imo.

Fun fact about masks where I always have to smile is when people still wearing them on their motor bike (against air pollution?), but of course not wearing any helmet

Where I played last month at the $1/$1 in Sihanoukville, people were not wearing mask. As said, the mask situation is pretty relaxed now in Cambodia.

Hey all,

I’m currently in sihanoukville ,

Came across a 1-1 table at DV casino ,

I think it’s great because it kinda fill a void in the Cambodian poker offer and may attract some new players to the game in the country / area ,

the low min buy in attracts all sorts of profile and the proximity of tables games bring a nice flow of Chinese / Korean bacarrat players who are no scared to gamble .

Free drinks / coffee/ cigarettes / fruits .
Pretty funny and pleasant atmosphere and very mixed field with ppl from prettt much all over the world . Dealers are competent and waitress staff very kind . Definetly recommend

PS : there is also a 5/5 runned by a Chinese/Korean union of players for ppl who want to play higher , didn’t test myself but looks like plenty of action , big stacks and from what i see it’s 5-5-10 almost all the time

Played here this week, great game with some crazy action for a 1/1 game, lots of Chinese / Korean players, seems to be the place for European's to play and a rake cap of $5, they were giving free drinks and fruit plates, and cigarettes ( don't smoke myself, but it's a small price to pay to if I'm surrounded by fish ).
Definitely planning a return trip, accommodation is abundant and cheap, not easy to find online easier to roll up and scout around.
