I was in Sihanoukville recently. Felt the place got a bit better since 2019 since all the roads are new but overall still not a nice city at all with lot of construction going on.

Atlantic had 5/5 with $80 Cap and saw dealers overraking.

Bolai had 5/10/20 and Rake was $500 Cap.

Smoking at the table 24/7. Health and moneywise probably not the best place to spend time there.

There are several other games in town but didnt put more effort in to explore those.

Is there still no news on Mike Kim, no sight or sound of him anywhere?
Has much has he potentially made off with?

You made your account a couple months ago and still only have one post. You really think anyone with even the smallest amount of info will tell you anything? For all we know you’re Mike Kim.

Since the PT drama I've had a bunch of people messaging me asking about playing online on the apps, a few were under the impression they cannot play the apps in Cambodia without PT.

I'm still playing the apps and now agenting myself again. If you're looking for an agent for the apps (uPoker, PokerBros, Pppoker, X-Poker) then reach out to me

What are the requirements for getting vaccine booster shot in Cambodia?
Can foreigners with just tourist visa get it and where?

I found this from a news source:
"The Royal Government will continue to administer COVID-19 vaccines to its people and all foreign nationals in Cambodia free-of-charge"

Damn, I'm just reading all the Mike/PT stuff now. He was always super professional, trusted, but then he put me in a pokerrr2 game last year where he claimed the host bailed with all the money including his, so I was out a few thousand. I pretty much believed him, but decided to switch agents and cashout my Bros acct, which weirdly took weeks. This was November/December last year and it was the last time I talked to him.

Pretty shocking though. Based on how nitty he used to play NL, I certainly never really saw him as the type to go full degen in PLO (as speculated) but I guess you never know. He seemed like he was incredibly content to eat well and have his ladies above all else, why throw that all away? Possibly being extorted? Damn. Sorry to hear about all the people that got bit, I was fortunate to cashout when I did.

Haha, yes he was quite nitty (and not very good) in NL. Yeah, nobody saw that coming, I guess in retrospect it makes sense

Yea i played live w him at naga before and he was a nit. Also watched some of his plo streams and he looked pretty nitty.

Obv hung out w him quite a lot and u could tell he wasnt like sick crusher or knew tons of theory but he didnt talk or act like a whale either, like would never complain about badbeats n variance or w.e, never said any goofy strat stuff like wat u hear donks say sometimes.

I knew him like 2 or 3 years and saw him rise thru the plo stakes like plo50 and when i left cambo he was starting to sit plo400. Saw him upgrade his lifestyle too...like multiple apartment upgrades, hired staff, increased gf count lol, these werent all at once it was like slow gradual thing.

So yea still seems weird that he was some degen punting it off but his story about police extortion is lol also, like no evidence of it at all.

Yea, he lived pretty modestly when I was there, never beyond his means, and it was nice to see him getting some rungood with the business, especially with everyone getting on the apps during Covid. I trusted him enough that I was getting money out of my ABA account by making interbank transfers of 10k to his acct and then he would send me the money, so he could have easily taken me for 10k if he wanted. He was always good for his word.

This whole thing smells super fishy to me, a guy making good money and living a nice lifestyle deciding to just up and disappear, burning all his clients, friends, long time acquaintances for an amount he could make in less than year with that said business, just to become a pariah in hiding the rest of his life? wtf. I honestly think it's some sort of extortion, who knows what can happen if you somehow piss off the wrong higher up in Cambodia. Anyway, that might be a generous take, but I really really hope he's not in a ditch somewhere and this can all get sorted out eventually.

It has nothing to do with extortion, somebody posted screens of him being in the red with all that money ITT, unless you believe that's fake that's exactly where it happened. Besides he should know better than anyone how to navigate Cambodia and with his online biz he's not really stepping on anyone's toes, if he was in charge of RK or whatever it might be a different story. And that amount that was claimed was just completely out of this world, you can pay off any cop in Cambo with a couple hundred bucks at most...

Oh damn I totally read that screenshot wrong, my bad. Yea, I’m probably wrong.

I’m hopefully coming to Cambodia in the winter, I’m curious to see what Sihanoukville is looking like. I ran pretty good in those cigarette smoke infested crazy rake Chinese games when Sihanoukville was an absolute hole from all the construction. Do any non-Chinese people stay there, out in Otres perhaps? Did they ever start improving the the road from Phnom Penh?

Mike Kim probably lost all the money at sports betting. There is no way he lost it all at poker. I played with him on one if the apps and he never won or lost big. He short changed me on the rakeback the whole time as well.

Crazy to me that he would try and run even if he was down a lot given how public he was with his life/business. Surely he was making a decent amount from the agenting.

Yeah I saw him these games a few times.. I also noticed that basically all his accounts had similar or even nittier stats than me, until his last acc I saw at 3/6 etc his vpip was like double.. may just be account he uses for the min vpip games tho

I've never heard anything about him sports betting, think that's quite unlikely.

I stopped playing under him like a year before he disappeared when he delayed my rb payment for like 3 weeks and when finally caught up there was some missing.. In hindsight there were a few signs things weren't going too great for him ;s

The whole thing is v weird , the more I think about it the weirder it gets lol

It's incredibly bizarre, which is why I still believe that there's some small % that he was extorted, or has been kidnapped or something.

Did all of these problems coincide with covid? He seemed like a very social person, I could see lockdowns getting him to mentally.

Would also like to know how much money is officially stolen after what's been recovered.

The wife deleting fb and disappearing too makes me think he wasn't extorted or kidnapped or sth and she's with him

Lockdowns weren't exactly bad here, bars and poker rooms mostly still open, what more do u need

Yea sad thing, saw him like one month before this happened, he played bit on river king for 1/3 holdem and 2/5 omaha... I tried to go out couple of times with him... but he complained that he has been sick... Lucky for me i withdraw all my money from him back then(less than 2k) to my aba bank... Which could possible cause some trouble... I mean if he is always transferring lot of money to different ppl... It might raise red flag even in Cambodia... And if authoritaries start asking proof and why is he transferring so much.
But yea the think that he deleted his facebook and noone seem to have heard from him is no good. And if he is i jail or kidnapped or something... Ppl would probably know

Given how he was surviving when he 1st landed in Cambo, his agency gig he built up was basically the best possible outcome anyone could have imagined. Was probably making a pretty decent living there for awhile. Kind of frustrating to watch someone piss that away but basically the same as watching someone drink or snort or smoke their life away.

Or she was in on it. Like I said, "slim" chance, but still there.

I wasn't aware that lockdowns weren't bad in Cambodia, I thought I remembered him posting some stuff about being locked up at home and unable to go out.

Seems like Cambodia would be one of the easiest places to disappear someone.

This is one of many things that I don't get.

My best friend from the Sihanoukville poker days, who I thought was mostly past his mental health issues, smoked so much hash that he thought everyone was coming to get him and his poker winnings that he jumped from the 5th floor of his hotel. It still rips me up that I didn’t recognize what was fully going on. I love Cambodia, but **** it can be rough place
