Thanks poker_triad.

Unexpected problems that EU members may not be aware of...(unsure re/US)

I am moving back to PP in 3 weeks time hence i wanted to transfer money over to my ABA Cambodian account.
Money transfers are no longer possible from any EU countries since the European Commission placed trade sanctions as of Feb 12th this year. (I tried from the UK & France!)
Even money transfer companies like 'World remit' & 'Transferwise' are restricted.
I'm pretty sure that Western Union is still an option if you're willing to pay exorbitant fees!
Looks as though it's gonna be a cash & carry job!
This is just one article i found(prob not the best/most specific)that explains the sanctions imposed on Cambodia, after I wasting most of the day trying to do the money transfer!

You can carry up to $10,000 but my friend from Vegas brought here $50,000 on his last trip and he had no issues. He just simply declared it.

I've seen a few posts here and there where people have said that certain airlines are now requiring onward travel proof when flying to Cambodia.
Has this affected anyone here in the past 12 months?

We are flying from France with Turkish Airlines to Bangkok, then onwards with Bangkok Airways to Phnom Penh.
Do we need proof of an onward flight leaving Cambodia?
(We have never had any problems in the past)

Guys, 10k in $100 bills takes up very little space but like the other guy said you can always just declare it and possibly pay a vig

You can also download Tapatalk for your mobile device and post from there. The app allowed you to post photos directly, but no videos. For that you have to upload to YouTube and post s link.

Thanks for the replies.
Wonder how many posts i have to do till 2+2 grants me PM privileges!
I'm sure I can come up with some more questions!

Re/ WPT They MUST be flying in competent dealers!
I know it's been 2 years since i played in Naga, back when the dealers were atrocious, but to my mind Naga could not possibly host a major Tournament series without importing experienced tournament dealers & tourny directors etc!

I wonder if they will be running any Satellites?

I was asked for it coming back from Korea, had to sign some waivers saying they weren't responsible if I was denied entry

think its always been airline dependent though

I think you're correct with it being airline dependent.
Since my OP i found there to be loads of cheap companies that book you a genuine ticket for a nominal amount, like $10, which will gives you everything you need for proof of onward flight at the check in counter but in reality you don't have another flight as they cancel it once you are on your journey.
There are other ways around it for free, like you said being able to sign a waiver, but apparently this is not always an option according to this excellent article i found on the whole 'Proof of Onward travel' topic.
This article gives great advise and links for 'Proof of Onward travel'.
I imagine this is going to become a more common problem in the future

In regards to Cambodia specifically I've always just said I'll be living there (whether true or not) and I'll be getting my visa on arrival, never had an issues.

We too have never had a single problem(yet) but after the new visa laws were implemented we joined a FB group called -
"Cambodia Visa and Work permit Group"
It was this page that alerted us to this new problem of 'proof of travel' to Cambodia, which seems to be on the rise.(It's the airlines, not the law that are the cause as they have to foot the return flight cost if you are denied entry)
Anyways, barring any probs we will be back 'home' in a few weeks time

Those groups just scare people to try and sell their services. There's always a workaround for these things. That's why we're all here.

I would just recommend making sure to get to the airport early enough to give time to book onward travel if it's really necessary

Maybe buy bitcoin? Many people in Cambodia will buy. You might have to pay a fee to the person buying your BTC, but this fee will certainly lower than what the banks charge.

Thanks for the suggestion, unfortunately it's not for me.
I have avoided all things Crypto up 'till now......I'm still yet to even own a 'smart phone'!(Still using 2nd Gen phones!)
I'm sure the day is not far away when we all be forced to use both!
