No more 1-2 at Naga as it's now 1-3. The Red Fox still has their $0.25-$0.25 dealers choice game on most nights. If you want to PM me your Facebook name I'll add you to their group chat.

Returning to PP next week for a few weeks of grinding.

And @PT:

I found your post from january, do you still have the contact for the hotel with $18/night?

I stayed at "The Bridge Club" last year, pretty solid Aparthotel but the noise really annoyed me.
Does anyone knows, if the building next to Bridge / the Bridge itself is still under construction?

Thanks!

Hi, any tips on how to deposit to an online poker site through skrill? When depositing to skrill from cambodian account the funds are not eligible for gambling.
If somebody has expierience with that would really appreciate.

Did you select gambling or non-gambling when you created the account?

When was depositing with cambodian visa card there was not the option actually, it was automatically non gambling.

So I tried to send non-gambling money to another skrill account and was able to deposit after that

It's an option when creating the Skrill account. How did you send money to another skrill account and then deposit onto a pokersite? It sounds like you broke some terms of service and got away with it because you're working with small amounts but it may be a problem later.

So what other option do I have now?

A friend came up to Phnom Penh recently and treated a group of us out to drinks, girly drinks and all. It was only my second night back from Bavet but my wife was cool about it, as she usually is. She'll send me a melodramatic text every once in a while but that's about it. I drank with the girl in the video who was way too smart to be working in a bar. And I wish I got a better shot of her because the vid doesn't do her justice. Her body is just all ass, and in a good way. It's always nice to be back in Phnom Penh.

I am now in Kampot as my friends have a small game that they run here. It's a group of three guys that run the game and one of them asked me to make the trip and help out a bit as they've entered a new venue. Those of you who used to play in old Riverking probably know him as he used to be a floor man there, the one that I affectionately refer to as pops. Anyway, it's only a small $0.25-$0.50 game but much like the Red Fox game, this one too can be a bonanza. I almost hate saying this as he's my friend but one of the owners, not pops, has to be the biggest fish in town. He's got to be losing something like $100 per day on average, which is amazing for a game so small. I'm not making life changing money here or anything but I'll stick around a bit for him, if for no other reason.

Anyway, I love being in Kampot as it gives me a chance to recharge my batteries a bit as the town is so relaxing. The food is quite good here as well as many expats have moved in from Sihanoukville. If you go into the town center there are Western restaurants in just about every corner. My old boss from Sihanoukville owns a sports bar so he's putting me up in a room that he has upstairs. I may just end up renting the room full time and move down here, or at least split my time between here and Phnom Penh. I'm sure that I can get the room that I am in for next to nothing, but if not there are so many cheap apartments here. And after being in Bavet for nearly a month, the internet here is lightning fast in comparison.

The nightlife here is nothing like Phnom Penh, but things are picking up as about 6 girly bars have opened up in the past year. I'll go there with some of the players if the game ends early enough, which hasn't happened the past couple of nights. The game went until about 4:00 AM last night and 2:00 AM the night before so maybe I won't have that much chance to go out to the bars. The Chinese have bought just about every property across the bridge so there are a lot of KTVs there, which I have yet to check out. Their presence should mean the game here should grow and in fact we're expected to have a group come and check out the room soon.

Does Kampot have clean beaches and ocean or is it more like what I’m hearing about Sihanoukville?

It's a river town without a beach, although Kep is not far away and still somewhat undiscovered and undeveloped. Kampot is where all the expats who once lived in Sihanoukville have moved to. There are some Chinese here but it's nothing like current day Sihanoukville. It's rather like what I remember about Sihanoukville when I lived there 2-3 years ago; relaxing life, a friendly community of expats, an inexpensive lifestyle and some poker. But the poker part is slowly growing and will make an exponential jump at some point. In the meantime I'm enjoying $5 Western food again and playing some poker with friends at night.

$5-$10 seems to have died down, at least for the moment. $2-$5 is the biggest game at the moment, of which they get on average 3 tables every night.
