to get shack girls pics on my computer i had to go to a guys apt that i had met at charlie harpers and have talked to a lot through pm's on the forum for this city, he says its not an easy place to find (understatement of the century) so he gives me a map, i was gonna try to walk there because its pretty close to my hotel and i like to walk, but then i decide to go at night instead and dont wanna be walking down strange roads and get lost so he gives me the number of his regular moto driver, sooooo glad i didnt try and walk

go down dirt road, then other dirt road, then other dirt road, its been raining a lot so we are driving through like 2 feet of water at some places, the home stretch to his apt takes you past a very long stretch of shack/houses that look similar to what i saw when i googled tondo, manila

had i tried to walk i certainly would have got lost and been possibly more scared than i was on my first nights here in cambo, that is saying A LOT cuz i was a lil biatch those nights

anyways when we pull up to this random apt building in the middle of nowhere it is actually very nice, at $150 a month it is a great deal, furnished, big fence at the entrance, guard out front, once you are there it would be a great place to live imo, but the getting to and from would be a real pain, you would need to have a motorbike for sure, it wasnt the easiest drive and i wouldnt like making it all the time

i heard they were building another apt building there, if they do that and make it more accessible its somewhere i would definitely consider living

I suggested you to rent a motorbike and then drive from Sihanoukville to Kampot. Thats around 2 hours and a very scenic route, past mountains and rice fields. And road condition is reasonable all the way.

Then enjoy Kampot for a while, eat at the riverside overlook Elephant Mountains.

From there head towards Kep, which is a small place on the beach. Used to be called the riviera of Cambodia. Read a little bit about the story before you go, so you know what all the burned down ruins mean. Nice guesthouses around there as well, spend the night.

Next day drive around in the area. Visit a pepper plantation, a salt field - quite ironic that they produce a lot of salt and pepper next to each other

Several of the mountains have nice caves you can go into, some of them with a nice history as well, where munks fled during the genocide and was kept hidden for years.

It will be easier if you bring a khmer, as some of these places are not that easy to find and get access to, if you cant ask for directions. And english is less commonly spoken there.

Eat fresh crabs at the crab market with the locals.

On your way home, drive up to Bokor Mountain ...read up on the history as well before you go....

It will make a nice 2-3 days trip.

Oh..and rent a motorbike with a nice soft seat... even though you think otherwise, your behind will hurt after spending all day on a bike
