There are still decent places in that price range around. I haven't been to vegas for a decade though so I can't comment on any recent changes beyond that.

If you are on a fixed income of $3000 you better forget the strip clubs and girls, you need that much on a good night. Buy Lube, you'll need it.

Glad I make enough money to knot have to worry about that.
You can live in a nice condo in Vegas or a house on $3000 a month. If you want to get laid you better be ripped and good looking though on that budget.

Some of the locations in the zillow ad are full of hookers and crack heads. Even one is by the Tranny hooker stroll so yes you can get a apartment for in the lower range of $500-$700 but they are not nice or even safe.

If you are looking just to survive then $3000 will do it, but I am not here just to survive. No point in living if it is just to survive.

Just gonna chime in on the prices in Vegas, since that is my home. I live in a 1 bedroom apartment near UNLV and my rent is $835. When I moved in 18 months ago, my rent was $729. That over a 10% increase over 18 months and the prices will continue to rise. Vegas is growing rapidly and getting more expensive. Whoever said that you can find a studio for $500/month "EASY", obviously does not know what they are talking about. The cheapest studio I have heard of while living here was $600/month and in a very rundown building. I am headed to PP for a few months very soon, can't wait to see how the city has changed since my last visit. I'll definitely be stopping by River King, but I am taking a trip to Siem Reap first. Let me know if anyone has a place and needs a roommate. If not then ill just get an apartment. Hope all is well with everyone.

I lived in Vegas for 6 years and back in 2005 or 2006 I had a three bedroom in a nice Henderson neighborhood with some roommates for $1,100. I doubt that I could get that now. When I last lived there I had friends with a studio right behind the Mirage and they were going for $600 so I'm sure it's more now.

Glad to hear that you'll be coming to Cambodia as I always enjoy it when people from Vegas drop by. Talk to the guys at Riverking and they can help you with a place to live. The games there are about to get tons better as there is a huge Chinese contingency coming in this entire month. I hope I'm in PP at the same time you are or perhaps you'll find time to drop by Sihanoukville.

We've hired pops, who we had originally hired for Riverking in Phnom Penh. But since he's lived in Sihanoukville before I thought it would be a good idea and talked him into coming back. My basic plan is to hire the PP room person by person, Renton555 probably being next. With some extra help I figured I would go visit the wife and kid since I had not seen them in a long time. But I decided to postpone as we've picked up a $2-$5 game lately and the room was busy today with a couple of staffers out sick. But when I told the wife she started to cry as she had planned this whole birthday thing for me. So I hopped in a taxi and now I'm about a couple of hours out from PP. I'll probably drop by the Riverking tomorrow and see how the new Chinese group is doing. Hopefully I'll get to see some friends as well.

A quick sidenote for those who travel between Phnom Penh and Sihanoukville. In the middle there is this eating area called Pich Nil. Don't ever stop there as they're a bunch of crooks. That is all.

Might not be a good idea to publicly advertise that you planning on stealing every RiverKing staff, unless that’s all part of your scheme.

Just found out today that there is a rumor going around that our poker room in Bao Mai is closed. I suppose it's too much to ask that other room operators just run their rooms. Too many rooms = desperate measures. It's just funny that I heard this on a day we had two games by 3:00 PM. I suppose I should be flattered to be getting this much attention.

I have been watching the live games on Facebook, the girl Mary Judith is doing a great job promoting the room. The girl deserves a bonus for promoting the room.

What's the reason? Getting 2 games going is more than most rooms can manage.

Don't you just love it when girls you never fuc*ed try to convince you that you did after they get knocked up by someone else. There was a girl here in Sihanoukville who worked in a bar that I used to buy drinks for. But I never took her home and we never did the deed, although I wish like hell we had. She texts me out of the blue every now and then but I hadn't heard from her since I saw on her Facebook page that she had a kid. Then tonight she sent me this gem.

Is there a regular 2/5 or even 5/10+ game somewhere in Snooky? Midstakes is missing in PP, at least in NLH. Just low limit and highstakes like the 10$+ Ante game in the Riverking 1 which is somewhat compareble to 25/50+.
Has anyone played at the exchange? On FB they announce 5/10+ games from time to time. But I couldn't find anyone that ever played there.

There are several regular 2-5 and one 5-10 games in Sihanoukville. We have a daily $2-$5 game at Bao Mai that starts in the late afternoon as does the OC, Oriental Pearl and I believe the Island. Gobo East has a daily $5-$10 game as well. As far as I know the ante game is dead in Phnom Penh. Our Chinese partners and I are working with the Riverking at Comfort Star on Street 200 to bring in a large group of Chinese players that like to play bigger hold'em and Omaha. They haven't all arrived but are slowly filtering in and they have already run a bigger Omaha game and ran their first $5-$5 hold'em game today. It wasn't the longest game but should get more populated as more of the Chinese come in.

I am thinking of getting a taste of Snooky next week. Now I got told at Naga that there are even regular 10/20 games BUT they have a rake of 5% capped at 50 or even 100$.
What is the best place to stay there?

Btw
I don't know which chinese players you are talking about but the ones I know began at Riverking and ended up in Riverking 1 or Naga. Even if they still stay at the comfortstar. One of them told me he doesn't like to play with the same people every day. It is somehow a vicious circle for the Riverking.
