Thanks man and Happy New years to you and everyone else on this thread. New year's Eve at the Riverking was a real blast and we had a fun night to end what was a great year. The game went later than I thought it would as I could see in the faces of the entire staff that they wanted to get out to go to their respective celebrations. I helped things along a bit by taking a few players to Renton555's bar on street 118, Cool N Cozy. We did the same thing last year and a bunch of players showed up again as we counted down to the new year.

The next day I had lunch with the boss, our customary meeting on Mondays and chose La Croisette on the Riverside as this week's venue. We had a lot of things to discuss as 2017 was a great year for the room and we have many things planned for 2018 to grow the room even further. Lunch was great as the opening mixed crostini was excellent, followed by a delicious burger; something about an egg on a burger that makes it that much better.

Later that night we hit the town again as pops and I have a few friends visiting from Kampong Sam. We had a fun time but did a crawl of a bunch of bars I had never been to. Most of the bars and the girls therein were pretty busted up and we ended up at the infamous Candy Bar for some reason. As I've stated before I never end up at this place unless I'm dragged there kicking and screaming by friends. And right on cue when we ordered our drinks they tried to stick us with a tab for an extra drink that no one had ordered. At least I finally got a shot of the infamous Candy Bar midget.

So guys, my U.S. passport expires in April 2018 and i want to get a round trip flight to Cambodia for a few weeks in February. . Will they let me in, or do I need to renew my passport first since I have 4 months left on it?

Cambodia seems to have a six month buffer when it comes to anything passport related. You're best option is to not take any chances and have it renewed first.

Needing to have more than 6 months left on your passport is pretty much a worldwide standard. You better get a new passport.

Trying to do a tourney / cash game at Sundance Riverside over on 79 and 100st.

Probably $20+5 buy in with drink deals, and a cash game after, maybe 25/50 or 25/25. This the first week we have tried running it but we plan on having a game every Sunday.

Stop by and have a drink or message me if you want in.

We have a nice setup on the 2 floor with a balcony.

Come play!!

One of the players at the Riverking was having a soft opening for his new club last night, called Muse. As he invited the entire room to the opening, we closed down all games at 11:00 PM and headed down with players, dealers, staff and all. The club was predictably lavish and nice as the owner is a proper baller. As it was a soft opening there weren't too many available girls in the club, but they hired a group of female dancers from China to entertain the crowd. And of course the owner brought out whiskey for everyone and had a different dancer/girl bring it to each individual table. I left relatively early and not every player was back in the room today. So I'm guessing a few of them had a late night that probably didn't end with the club.

Someone's been finally running good. I know this is going to sound totally gay, but it does my heart good to see Yazzx running good in our room. The working hours are often long at the Riverking, but they often go by faster when good friends are spending it with you and winning money. Sundays are especially rough with the tournament running with the usual cash games. But today's/tonight's shift was a fun one as the hold'em game morphed into a $1-$2 Omaha game at 1:00 AM. I played in both games and managed a +$308 day myself so I'm not complaining. My image on the table is so tight that whenever I re-potted anyone I just said blatantly, "Come on, you know what I have."

Came down to Sihanoukville last night and ended up paying with some of the Singaporean and Chinese down here. They hosted us for an epic bash at a local KTV where they had lineups if Chinese, Vietnamese and Khmer girls. The Chinese are $150 to sit with you, $50 for the Vietnamese and $12 for the Khmer girls. I ended up with a Vietnamese girl and when she discovered I wouldn't be taking her out she left and I ended up paying nothing. Then we ended up playing the craziest ****ing game ever where I got stacked with 6c7d8d10c. I flopped two pair, turned a boat only to get sucked out on by Pronto when he hit his one outer in the river. ****ing Germans! Too bad I'm writing this at the airport and have to leave as the Chinese are throwing an epic pool party tonight.

How’s Sville live poker scene looking? Any better? I like the mix of ethnicities present as I haven’t really heard of much diversity for girls in PP

The elephant in the room (from an economic point of view).
1) If we view life as a poker game.
2) If we assume economic theory is correct and the US$ should weaken relative to Chinese currency over the next 20 years to get everything (global economy) in balance. This would result in wages increasing in China relative to US.

Then it is a brilliant strategy to appoint an aggro-fish with lots of money as President of the US. This should work over time and establish balance. Except if people keep believing the aggro-fish has a better game plan than the rest.

The Sihanoukville games are a mixed bag. They are good for sure but because of the dominance of new Chinese players in the game, there is hardly any order. Standard rules are broken all the time and most of the staff seem hardly interested in doing anything about it as they are afraid of losing customers. There is also the issue of insurance. I don't want to get too deep into this but I will say that it slows the game down to an unbearable level. In regards to girls my opinion hasn't changed that there are much better options and also more value in Phnom Penh. For a supposed premium girl the prices in Sihanoukville are absolutely ridiculous, whereas I just took a KTV girl the other day for under $100. I'll take you to a few spots the next time you're around.

Got home a few hours ago from hanging out with a couple of new players from 2+2. FML we always end up at Rose Bar, but the other guys seemed like they had a good time.

Is that guy running stuff now in Snooky? I remember playing against him years ago. Quite fishy and started randomly muttering and cursing in Hebrew all the time.

Like the blog, and PLO and holdem, Cambodia. Just heard "...Let me fall out of the window, With confetti in my hair, Deal out jacks or better, On a blanket by the stairs, I'll tell you all my secrets, But I lie about my past, So send me off to bed forever more..." by Tom Waits in the movie "Down by law" of Jim Jarmusch (1986).

I suppose all my recent trips might have tipped some off. It is true that we are finalizing a deal to open a Riverking poker room in Sihanoukville. We've partnered with a great group from Cambodia, China and Singapore to bring our brand of poker down to the beach city. We're literally crossing the t's and dotting the i's with the casino we will be situated in and we will absolutely be bringing big Omaha with us. We've already set a date of March 1st as the opening night and it'll be accompanied by a huge opening party as only our partners know how to bring. I'll post some pictures and further details as we get closer to the date. But in the meantime Pronto I'll be in Snooky on Monday so get your Bacardi ready. Anyone else in town want to join let me know.
