Been playing 90% of my volume at RK. It is by far the best place to play poker in PP... Naga have games everynight which are somewhat soft but the dealers/staff are an absolute joke there... Even with a new manager who knows what he's doing it is still terrible... The astmosphere and the fun we have at the late night RK game is uncomareable to any other game in PP

I'm a lil drunk now but the fun we have at RK is as good as it gets even tho we bumhunting best friends (hi lukas <3 )

Will post updates on my thread very soon .... tl;dr im like breakeven over 3 months (crushing the 1-3 holdem but getting destroyed in 1-2 PLO)

It's been really busy personally for me as every birthday, engagement, pregnancy and wedding has been going off lately. Even one of the dealers in the room is pregnant. I'm going to go broke if I have to stuff one more envelope with money. If you haven't read over in his thread, Yazzx is having an engagement party this Sunday. So we're all getting up at 7 00 AM to pile into a van to ride out to the province. I still have to get some socks and decent shoes as I've owned neither the past few years.

My daughter is now 9 months old already and almost able to stand on her own. The girlfriend is now 3 months into her pregnancy and I'm left not knowing where the time went. We still haven't decided on a maternity doctor nor found a place to have the baby. Samcx, if you're reading this where did you go?

The Riverking has been pretty busy lately as the action in the 5-5 Omaha game has picked up considerably, not that it was bad previously. We've had waiting lists for it throughout the day and it's been going later than usual. The hold'em game is going later as well and even starting early as on many days it'll start before noon. I'm still amazed that as many times players go out that the game starts as early as it does. It's my last day off this week so I think I'll spend a night at home getting some work done. I have to finish the content on a website we're doing and also sift through various offers from online poker app clubs that have approached us to work with them. But then again it's not even 6 00 PM yet and the wife's still in the province.

For the birth we went here http://www.yourphnompenh.com/preah-ang-duong-hospital/, it's on Norodom on st 118... they did a good job and a room for 4-5 nights & c-section were all reasonably priced. You could find better, Calmette ofcourse being the best but on a budget I'd recommend this place.

We are, just a matter of picking the right offer. And it's not as simple as it sounds as I have to roll it out in a fashion that doesn't cannibalize our own live player base. I don't want to exchange one revenue for another.

Fwiw this might also bring a new traffic to your room assuming you pick up the right club/union to go with. I mean It is very difficult to get into many clubs/unions directly as a player without connections etc. I assume the club is going to open on pppoker because it is like the only one outside of China with reasonable liquidity.
So you being a part of a nice field outside of the most common ones (that would be APL,AKK and Thai Union ) would bring a lot of traffic from the outside too. I mean going with the big unions like APL or Thai would have the advantage of big liquidity but at the same time there are already clubs/affiliated aggresively poaching players and offering big rakeback there. So you would probably end up with bringing a lot of recreational players with little rake in exchange for that (That would go to the clubs with regs mostly) unless you would like to offer big rakeback but thats probably also not super +EV.

So being a part of a more unique union would be probably a lot more +EV because otherwise people are going to play other clubs even if they are regulars at RK. I mean we all know that recreational players tend to rake a lot less than they lose so it would suck to be a part of the union where you bring recs and the rake goes mostly to other clubs.

I mean I am not an expert but just my 2c.

Yazzx just came by the Riverking as he's making last minute preparations for his big day tomorrow. He hadn't bought the alcohol yet so he asked if he could buy a couple of bottles of wine from the room, which we were more than happy to do for him. It looked like it might be an early night for me and that I would be able to get some sleep before the engagement party. But now I'm sitting in two full games of $1-$3 hold'em and $1-$2 Omaha. We've lifted the buy in cap for the latter as some big stacks have developed and one player wanted to reload for $3k more.

With Yazzx about to get engaged the question of when my girlfriend and I might get married has come up a fair amount of times. The truth is we have already talked about it and she's in no real hurry. I've asked her why and she's told me that it's because she knows that I would have to pay her family more money than a Khmer man would and she doesn't want to tax our family too much. I suppose that's practical as we're obviously both in it for the long haul and the ceremony would just be a formality.

I have to admit though that the pregnancy has been tough for both of us, for related but different reasons. The pregnancy has left my girlfriend tired and morning sickness has hit her pretty hard. We haven't been intimate as often because of this and it's left me a bit wanting to say the least. It doesn't help of course that I go out as often as I do, something I admit is of my own fault and doing. But even when I don't seek these girls out they somehow find me. I just got a text from the girl that I was with right before I got back together with my girlfriend. I've talked about her here before and I have to admit that she was a real fun girl to be with. I realize she's a manipulative little thing as she damn well knows I'm involved. But that doesn't seem to deter her in the least nor me from wanting to answer her text.

I got out of the room this morning at 5:20 AM after the last hold'em game broke. Then I had to go home and shave, shower and try to get some sleep before coming back to the room by 8:00 AM to catch the bus to Yazzx's engagement party. I was pretty miserable the whole day due to the lack of sleep, but in the end I was really glad I went. Yazzx looked incredibly happy, almost as happy as his girlfriend () and all the guys from the room had a good time. I'll just post one pic as I'm sure that Yazzx will post his own soon enough.
