5/10 was running for around two weeks nearly every day, 10/20 was running around 3days in that two weeks time frame.. However this has all stopped because most of the local fish lost way to much money, now they even reduced the min buy in for the 2/5 to get a 2nd table running.. Imo it was a stupid idea from the beginning on to introduce 5/10 as daily game, it's just to high for a regular game in Sihanoukville and all ready damaged the poker ecology down here..

Is the friendly 1-1 game still running?

Yes the friendly 1/1 game still exists, mostly same players like one year before + some random tourists, they also still run their daily $11 turbo tournament at 1pm.. Probably the only thing which doesn't change in Sihanoukville Living in Cambodia and turning Pro

In the end the whole thing set me back about $1,100 as I bought her an iPhone 8+ along with the party, cake, etc.

She was not so happy last night as I came home with lipstick on my face. I didn't take any girl from the bars, but I guess one of them got a bit close without me noticing or I was too drunk to wash up afterwards. She said it was fine, but what else is she going to say? I could see that she was upset the rest of the night so I guess I'm in the doghouse for a while. And to make matters worse, we got a phone call this morning that her grandmother passed during her sleep last night. So I won't be seeing her or the baby for a while and I'll probably have to make it out to her province on a day off for the funeral.

Haha I know exactly who it was too. Now you know what I have to deal with at Riverking with certain guys always wanting to play too high.

What games generally run in PP now at naga, riverking and redfox? Any good action?

Naga has a $1-$2 NLH game and $2-$5 depending on the lineup. We at the Riverking run $1-$3 NLH with $2-$5 upon interest. We also run two daily/nightly Omaha games at $1-$2 and $5-$5. But really we'll spread anything as long as there are players for it. Our $1-$2 Omaha game just got bumped up to $2-$5 an hour ago and just the other night we played a $1-$2 dealers choice. We ended up playing razz, svitten, 3-2-1 Omaha and badugi among others. The Red Fox has their $0.25 dealers choice game, usually after their tournaments.

Had dinner with pop a couple of nights ago, where we ran into a bird he used to shag from a bar in our neighborhood. Apparently she got married about a month ago and changed her job and life to accommodate her new life. We proceeded to have a very interesting discussion about relationships between foreigners and local women in Cambodia.

Do most Cambodian girls speak English with a thick accent like hers? I'm having a hard time to understand what she's saying.

Her English is better than most, but that voice is somewhat grating I realize. It's not typical but I will say that Khmer does sound aggressive to most foreigners.

What’s up guys. I’ve been here 4 months and barely played since I got here (after donking off $500 at RK)

Long story short, I work at a hotel / bar called Sundance Riverside up near st. 104 and I’m trying to get a game together.

We have a second floor space with a balcony and a good table and chair, but we need players.

I was thinking something cheap like 25c/50/c or maybe 50c50c.

If anyone would be interested let me know. It’s a waste of a nice table and space and we could do deals for the players.

I’m Ian, I’m behind bar most days. Stop by and have a beer. The bar is 24/7

I’d definitely play your 50c50c game. How much rake you would take?

As Luke (Yazz) says, there used to be a weekly tournament on Fridays (Sundays too) for a year or so, I played it fairly regularly. I guess it stopped when the new owners came in.. was a good fun game.

Nowadays it's tough to get regular numbers and I know the old owners were struggling at the end to get a game going as any poker players who don't play at RK regularly play at Red Fox who have a lower BI tournament on (Mon, Weds, Fri & Sat) with RK running one Sunday also so most people play at one of those two. It's a shame as it is a good table and nice room with a balcony as opposed to the less than ideal set up (Closed off room with no good air conditioning in which 90% of players are smoking and very low ceiling) at Red Fox.

One thing I really enjoy about the Sihanoukville poker scene is that there's really small stakes, 0,25c-0,25c, smallish 1-1, and then 1-2, 2-5 and sometimes larger games aswell.

In PP (and I might be wrong here, haven't been there too much) there seems to be a big gap between the smallest games at red fox, and the next "level" which would be 1-2 which makes for a higher entry barrier. So being able to play smallish holdem like 50c50c or even better 1-1 in PP would be cool!

Well I’m open to all suggestions. Maybe a Thursday game with a $10 rebuy tourney with some 25c/50c or even Lower if the players want it.

I’m trying to make it a fun atmosphere, good drinks, a balcony to chill on, just a good game and some fun.

We could do cheap drinks for the players and those waiting, some kinda deals.

Also we have a good 9ft pool table I wanna get reclothed and make it a real players table.

If you guys are interested we can make this game.

I’m not sure about rake, I’m open to what’s fair. We don’t wanna gouge anyone, it’s just a great space a a 24:7 bar so we can keep the games going until whenever.

I would love some 25c games. Just some low limit fun.

We were set to go out last night in celebration of Yazzx's birthday. The last game broke after midnight so the celebration got pushed to after midnight. We still managed to get out to the Eclipse Sky Bar and a new club in town called Sound. Eclipse is a real chill spot, one that everyone in town should get out to. It tests on top of the highest building in the city and is a great place to bring a date. Sound was a nice club but the bottles were ridiculously expensive. The cheapest whiskey they had was for $160 and went up all the way to near $400. We ended up getting a bottle of Grey Goose for $110 and finished it up in about twenty minutes. I went home around 3:30 AM but the rest soldiered on until about 6:00 AM or so. I don't get hung over so I came in this morning to open the poker room and now three of the other guys are already on playing. Although one is conspicuously missing who supposedly has a flight home today I'm almost certain he won't make. Anyway it was a fun night. Happy birthday Yazzx!
