It was another interesting day today in the poker room as it was the second consecutive day in which Yazzx was back playing $5-$5 Omaha. It really is great to have him back in the room. I told him something today that is worth repeating here. When he wasn't playing in the room I always told him that he can come by anytime to have a free meal. But this is something he never did as he would always go to the hotel's restaurant and pay for the same exact meal that he could've had in the poker room for free. I can't state enough how much I admire that.

It definitely feels like high season in the room as familiar faces are coming back from their home countries and hold'em is going all night. The new guys in the room are great as well as they seem to have really taken to the nightlife here. These guys are absolute beats as the game just broke at 4:00 AM and I have no doubt most of them are still heading out. I've spent the last couple of nights in myself, so it wouldn't surprise me if tomorrow I managed to get out at least for a little bit.

Ever wondered if the riverside was safe... Wonder no more because some guy tried to steal a purse from a farang's girlfriend and he was immediately chased down by the police who are in charge of patrolling this area. Come to think of it he was chased down by the locals as much as by the police. At that point everyone came out of the bars and descended upon the spectacle.

I went out almost immediately after my shift ended. I really just wanted to grab a few drinks and wasn't too concerned about girls last night, but the ladies in these bars seem to have a way of changing one's mindset. We spent nearly the entire night on street 104 where the girls always show us a good time. I have a few days off after my shift today so may hit again tonight. I'll be honest in saying that domestic life has not changed me as much as I thought.

Don't get me wrong, PT, I'm happy for you & your girl and congrats on the new child! I'm also working on becoming a father for the first time in my 40s (scary) so I'll be following along with interest.

Not exactly this, but yeah basically. I'll say here what I told Yazzx recently in that she knows we're done if I discover that she's stepping out on me, whereas that's not necessarily the case the other way around. How this applies to me is very complicated in as far as how she's laid it out for me. She's basically told me that as long as I don't bring anyone home and keep it out of her face I'm fine. But anyone living here or in Thailand will tell you that this is common in these parts and that relationships here are different in this regard.

I take things pretty far in the bars but I don't really step out on my girlfriend, -ish. As I stated previously I don't lie to her about where I go and half the time she'll wait for me at her sister's bar while I go out. Last night was a textbook example as we had dinner then was joined by a friend from the room. I told her I would be going out drinking with him so she said ok and went to the aforementioned bar to wait for me. She got tired of waiting so she texted me saying she was going to a local club with some friends, which I was obviously fine with. We then met up at my last stop, hung out with my friends a bit before going home together around 4:00 AM.

And when we get home its the same playful routine every night. She smells my clothes and asks me how many "srey" was I with, to which I reply that I bought a few lady drinks. She then slaps me around for a bit, have sex if we're both up for it and if not just go to sleep. To be honest she's more concerned with my drinking than she is about other girls.

I just realized this sentence sounds a bit confusing. She means if I "take a girl home" don't actually bring her to our home as to keep it out of her face. The statement is in reference to a friend of hers who's husband brought a girl home thinking his wife to be out of town, only to be mistaken and got caught.

Congrats again on your baby. The only advice I can give from very limited experience is plan for your maternity leave. You're going to be gone from the job for a solid 5 days and will probably want/need more.
