Both the hands are pretty much 50:50 with a slight edge to the KK. As KK, you obviously want to get the money in. As the straight flush drawer, you want pot all the time (if it is heads up) to get some fold equity from your opponent sometimes too. So it is the perfect play for either players. Obviously if the flush drawer has a wrap of 2,4,5,6 that would give him 60:40 edge over KK.

From what I see, WM has the skills to play deep but probably does not feel comfortable doing so yet while building a bankroll. I remember when I was younger and had to scrape and save every penny until I get to where I am now. So stop trolling him for being a nit and just enjoy the posts.
Naked KK should not be super excited to get it in here when stacks are so deep. Yes if spr4 or 5 Kk has to get it in but straight flush draw is ******ed. While you are almost always ahead, this is not how you win consistently in games with lots of fish.

Also, the pot size for the naked 4 high straight flush draw is ridiculous no matter what the meta game or conditions.

The argument could be made that since one or both players are fish that you should always stack off here with any set, it's still not sound play.

If that's how you play deep stack Omaha then I guess your games are very good.

Cant imagine how it be like with yazz and warmage meeting each other in the room daily haha.

2 cents is that the better player yazz dont rlly need to reply every post to defend himself as he wont need to prove anything to others. Just make good money while low profile. Shouldnt that be the aim of winning players hahaha

Anyway props to ptriad he is a great host. Hope all is doing good there.

Anyway the tournament structute if anything needs to improve. Sucka that it is like a satelite cufrently

Let's get this thread back on the run good. All this bickering is -EV.

Putting in my first session in snookyville. The game is slow but soft. I'm up about +300 ATM. Hopefully I can get to even next few weeks.

Although I have to stay away from the pot and women. Speaking of which pontoon girl is coming from PP to stay a while. I told her poker is a priority haha. We will see what happens.

Haha I've only actually played at the same table as Warmage a couple times... I've been playing pretty much only online the last 2-3 months..

Blinds are 1/2/4. Effective stack was about $500+. A nit (regular) opens UTG to $15, MP 3 bets to $55, MP+1 cold calls. Folded around to the nit who jammed for his whole stack. MP folded. MP + 1 thought for 30 seconds and called. The nit showed AA (of course) and the board bricked when it ran out. Nit more than doubled his $500+ stack to $1000+. Must be nice.
This was in one of WM's early posts in the thread, I was the guy in MP1 Not sure if he knew it was me lol.. And just fyi the reg with AA is one of the best regulars at Riverking and is certainly not a nit, he is one of the very few players I would make that call against

Which casino are you playing at? Is it $1-$1 or $1-2$? Min- max buy in?

Thanks for the trip report. Hope the grind goes well for you.

I believe there is only two games remaining here. Fortuna has 1-2 sometimes and ya duo li is 1-1 and I think they have a smaller game too. Min buy in is 20$ max 500$? Not sure.

PM'd you but I'll repeat it here. If anyone is looking for cheap alternatives for month to month living, it might be worth it to checkout Airbnb. I have no experience with this but I know there are listings for Phnom Penh and it might be a better choice to overpaying for places that do short term arrangements.

Given their location and the state of the poker economy in Sihanoukville, they are the only ones who have a consistent game.

They have a $0.25-$0.25 game that they call Family Night, Family Game or something to that effect. The fact that this game exists in a casino is indicative of the state of the poker economy in that city.

It's near the Square, where all the girlie bars are. It is between the Lion Circle and the duty free shop at the Golden Sands. I would not expect much though. I heard the games were pretty good right now but for one reason or another Sihanoukville is a black hole from which few escape. No one makes money down there from poker, except maybe one Finnish guy and he's probably secretly selling ice down on the beach.

I read that landlords are more than willing to offer their apartments for short term (month to month) because they have a ton just sitting empty anyway, yet these estate agents want to make it out that they do not offer such services. I think it's mainly them that don't want to offer the service cause they won't get as much if any commission, does this sound about right.

I read somewhere that agents often add a premium onto the monthly rent, so it's not the landlord that takes care of them after all.

Getting tired of this ****hole of a place already, is everybody just a $2 hustler over here in SEA?

I can second what PT says about snookyville. The place is a sess pool of old zombies lurking for pussy. They have an ice problem here too.

As for 2$ hustler...yes. These people are living in poverty and have to do whatever they can to make it. No money, no honey. Everyone hustles but this is on a micro scale where you haven't seen it before. Honestly, I'm a guest here and I don't mind if sometimes I get overcharged a bit. Whatever it is it will still be less than in the west. Sharpen your negotiating skills and be strong. Some people develop good negotiating skills over here and you can see how it is bred into there day to day life.

This isn't just Cambodia, this is SE Asia. At markets I'll be hit with 5x the price and negotiate to half that sometimes less. Tuk tuks, probably 2/3 or half depending. Long term hotel or accommodation you can usually get a discount. Be willing to walk away and mean it. Usually they will chase and ask what you can pay. But usually if there is a price tag on something that is the price. Don't haggle for food you will look like an idiot.

Just to point out the real estate hustle and how it is far more than what you would pay in the West. Even decent apartments are almost priced similar. Back to the hustle, they add $100 (or more)a month to a $300 dollar apartment more obv if the apartment is priced higher. The landlord doesn't mind cause he gets his price anyway. That adds up to $1200 a year. Where as in the West you'd pay 1/2 months rent and the landlord 1/2 months rent. They are trying to get away with $1200 minimum compared to $300 in the West.

On a side note, can you believe that these little ****ty side stall markets charge more for their fruit than the Big Tesco lotus here in Samui. Am I not suppose to bargain with fruit stall at market because its food, even though they have no price tags? 90 baht a kilo for mangos, are you fkn kidding me!!! I thought Thailand was cheaper than back home.

Just pay what you feel comfortable paying and stop being paranoid that you're always getting ripped off. You'll enjoy your time a whole lot more.
