Scammed, not so much. More like ripped off. Something like Tuk-tuk driver charging you $5 for a ride when it should be the standard $2 around town.

If he asked nicely, I would be more than willing to share. Just not on this thread.

I haven't played at all with you, I was just joking as a reason for you coming across so aggressive and bitter lately, FWIW I play a complete or fold strat on SB except in very special circumstances, it's upped my w/r from the SB a lot.. but if you are limping hands in other positions if not overcalling I'm not a fan.

As previously stated I haven't gone whoring in a while. I did have a day off today and had lunch with the boss and dinner with Renton555. I managed to get a session in between and basically broke the hold'em game by stacking three players. I ran extremely well as I got it all in with AK vs KK, ran it twice and got both boards. It also didn't hurt that I got trips, the nut straight and an over pair in nearly three successive hands. I never say this at the poker table, but after this run I told at least one of the players that I was sorry. It's about 1:30 AM as I write this and the $1-$1 PLO game is still running. I was going to get one of my regular girls but some dude answered so forget that.

Edit: as I'm closing the room one of the players just came in and said let's grab a drink. So the nights not over yet I guess.

Not sure what you mean by go go? If it's a girlie bar then he overpaid on the long time. Not sure about the bottle and the bar fine is standard.

I am working what is basically my second unofficial shift. My first shift ends at 7:00 PM but I generally like to stick around to babysit the beginning of the $1-$1 Omaha game as I'm in charge of the Facebook group chat. We ended up ordering in some Korean fried chicken from Kyochon down the street so it wasn't too hard to get players to come in and start the game. I spoke with the owner today and he wants to start a themed dinner night once a week. Such is a good idea as we have a few restaurant owners that play in our room and it would be very easy to setup something with them. I think we'll start with the Lebanese place owned by one of our regulars.

I've been complaining as of late that I haven't been able to get out. So tonight I thought I would just get a room here at the hotel and just call one of my regulars. But of course she doesn't pick up her phone and of course the hotel is completely out of short time rooms. So I just headed down to Cyrcee and took a couple of girls up to their private bedroom. The girls there hate it when anyone takes a photo so I decided to try out my new stealth camera app. It works very well, the only thing being that it snaps the photos upside down. Fortunately that can easily be edited. I got both their phone numbers so next time I'll just call them out here to the hotel. I still have to pay the bar fine but better than having to go through the hassle of buying drinks. Now I'm back in the poker room running the floor as the other manager is playing in the game. No way though that I stay tonight until closing. I'll probably just order a free burger and head home for some much needed sleep.

You forgot the smileys () this time around.

But I think most readers here would prefer the unedited photos.

I'm not quite sure what to make of this new $1-$1 Omaha game. It was originally started as something that we would spread a couple of times a week. But as I sit in the poker room writing, it's almost 1:00 AM and the game has been going for 54 hours straight. And it's not just that. The blinds are just $1 but that has proven to be irrelevant as the average pot size during peak hours is close to $150. I imagine some sort of balance will be reached, but for now I guess we have to ride this for what it's worth. We've had a few sick bad beats as one can imagine in a 50+ hour game. Just this morning quads got beaten by a straight flush.

I just told the other manager to go home for a few hours so that I can keep some semblance of a day off tomorrow. If the game goes all night again, I can call him back in around 6:00 AM. Then at least I can sleep in and do a few things for myself before relieving him later in the evening. I thought tonight would finally break the streak. The game was getting a bit thin, but as I write one of the late night players just came into the game. Might as well go for another 50+ hours.

Those are some pretty "deep" stacks!! Would love to play in that game. I might decide to pop over if bankroll permits in a few months.

We'd love to have you. We already have players coming back and booking hotel rooms for this game. Amazing what a small game will do. Sometimes to get bigger, you have to go smaller.

Yes. Full game right now but we're four names on the list into a possible second table.

Sorry, I misunderstood you. If you are asking is it still running consecutively, the answer is no. It finally broke at 8:30 AM this morning after 61.5 straight hours. It reconvened a couple of hours ago and is now full with a list building towards a second game.

Going to be in PP tomorrow, no time to read the entire thread. Just need to know where the best games are, times, rack, address, etc.

Thanks!

I am back!

Heard the action at RK has been pretty good so decided to fly in this afternoon to check things out. I was also kind of curious how Mike's new changes to the room were going to affect the game/players/table dynamics.

First off, I love the new rake structure. Besides the rake being easier to calculate for dealers, lowered rake structure means players get to keep more profits to themselves. Pretty self-explanatory yea.

When I arrived at the room, there was a 1/3 NLHE game going. As per my usual strategy, sat down with a min buy-in of $100. I find the game to be slightly tougher compared to the last time I was here. Or maybe I am getting rusty since it's been a while I played cards.

Based on my first session, it seems the game focuses more on post flop play. Less coin-flip situations which seem weird since players can reload for a lower amount of $100. Pre-flop raises are more reasonable, averaging around $10 (3X BB). My strategy of limp-shoving is less useful as players can get away cheaply. Fortunately, I was able to make adjustments to my game. Hopefully, I'll be able to acclimatize to the new changes over time.

Personally, I would prefer the old environment where I can limp-jammed my AK/10 10+ hands. I win a pretty significant pot at zero risk when my opponents fold. Or if I do get called, at worst, I know in a coin-flip situation. Less thinking involved = Less work. :-)

Running it twice seems to make less sense to me now. Before, all-in pot sizes average between $300 to $400. It's quite a bit of money to me so running it twice helps. Now, all-in pot sizes average between $100 to $200. I would be less inclined to do it but if the other player wants, I am not opposed to the offer.

Anyways, dusted off my first buy-in of $100 when I limp jammed AK into AA. Villian flops a set and slow-rolled me on showdown. Like...seriously, for a $100+ pot. -_-

There were more interesting hands when I bought in the second time. Jammed bottom pair/flush draw on a J 2 4 board. Villain had bottom set. We agreed to run it twice. First time, I hit my flush. Second time, I missed. We chopped a $150+ pot. Maybe, I should have run it once? Second interesting hand, I jammed 10 10 (overpair) on a 9 6 5 2 board. Villain had top pair. We agreed to run it twice. I won the first one. Villain hits two pair on the second run. Jeez, again, I chopped a $150+ pot. -_-

The 1-1 Omaha game started around 7pm when the hold em' game got short-handed. Mike wasn't kidding about this being an action-packed game. It started off slow but it began to get juicier as the game progresses. Fortunately, I was able to reverse my initial losses of $100 and ended the session with a small profit of $35. Wanted to stay on but I was getting pretty tired and I hate to play when I am feeling lethargic. Decided to head back to my hostel, hit the showers and then head over to Riverside for a late night massage.

Post massage, I was still itching for some poker action and headed over to Naga. Almost doubled up to $400 my first hour in when villain jams top pair on the turn into my overpair (10 10) on a 7 9 2 8 board. Easy game! My stack was slowly whittled down to $300+ and I decided to really call it a night during the deck change.
