How are the cash games usually? Does 2-5 and 5-10 run on a regular basis during tournament series?

Playing with fellow 2+2er Pronto as we read your post and he put it perfectly. $1-$1 and $1-$2, and with some luck $2-$5 but limitedly. Given how it'll be a bit more into high season and the first WPT in Cambodia, one could always hope for more. But I wouldn't count on more than what I posted above.

No worries. If I'm at the tables I'll usually answer fairly quickly.

Went by the Square the other night and ran into the girl that 4_chainz posted a pic of when he first got into town. I decided to take a short video; my how quickly they grow up. Speaking of, I noticed that some other French expats had opened in Poke Her Bar's old spot. I guess that makes it official.

You're not entirely incorrect in that the Square is certainly setup that way, but in reality many of the girls will not go home with you. Many pretend like they will but only really want you to buy them drinks inside the bar. You really need a good amount of time to develop a mental listing regulars who you know will go home with you. Unfortunately I know that on your visit you did not have such a luxury. If you want a sure thing without having to resort to more seedy areas, there is always Victory Hill where the girls are more than eager and also businesses like Venus Massage.

It's all in your mind. You perceive that you'll be able to take advantage of them the most so they seem the most desirable to you.

We've had some big games recently in Sihanoukville. At Golden Island a couple of tourists have been driving the action, especially this one Finnish kid who dropped over $1k last night. Even the small game up the street had a relatively bigger game for them. And today Korean Charley is giving away free whiskey to all players. A little competition is always a good thing.

Other player at the table drinking free whiskey is obviously a good thing.

It seems like a Korean cartel is forming in Snooky lol

We're all just kind of waiting for the Koreans to start drinking. One of the tourists driving the action is obviously already drunk, high or both.

I just went to G'day Mate to speak to a friend and had to go to the roof. If 4_chainz had done our previously mentioned bet, he would have died for sure.

lets do a little day in the life cambo style

K2d, id recommend you head to a bar called 'Alley cat' (Behind the hotel Blue Lime) ask the owner named 'Dallas' he will defiantly lead you in the right direction.
i dont even want to take mushrooms, zero desire to trip, but will try anything at this point....... this dallas guy is my only lead so i head there..... and when i go there at 4pm i realize the bar is closed, and it will be closed for the next 3 days, sweet

its alright, ill head to the bank, show up at 4:10pm on a weekday.... sorry sir bank closes at 4

no problem, ill just come back another time, while im in the area ill stop by and get some biscuits, 5south may not realize it but that is one of my favorite foods, i look forward to stops in the kuala lumpur airport (outside of the fact that flying makes me sick) so that i can get biscuits at popeyes

conclusion on phnom penh = mushrooms can't be found, i went EVERYWHERE including the happy pizza place, asked everyone smoking j's in red fox (twice), tuk tuks, street dealers... nothing

girl scene quite weak as well, felt like girls had worse attitudes than a few years ago and prices had gone up, also had some of the most lolbad food ive had in SEA here, though sunrise has good food and their weekly specials (lasagna day, mexican day etc.) were really good

Sorry you missed out on Lone Pine as they are quite good. The owner also runs La Taqueria up the street which is also quite good. At least you got to hit Sunrise; their fish tacos are the nuts. Also agree with you about the girls. In Phnom Penh they are getting more aggressive inside the bar as far as their sexual expression, but to get them out of the bars is getting too expensive. I know some of the bar girls at even asking for $100, I fear to think what the Darling Darling girls will demand soon.

What bank is that? With ABA you can withdraw down to your last $10 which you opened your account with from any of their ATMs.

acleda, they told me it when i opened the account, withdrew the last 100 or so i could a couple years ago and had to wait til i went back to cambo, they also start taking a dollar a month out of your account if you havent used it in a year, i considered it gone so the 30ish i got was like found money

still didnt make visitng PP worth it :P

honestly, the value of the place used to be the cheap girls right? if the hookers are no longer cheap and the non pros aren't easy to put out and the rest of the place is a dump i just can't really see the point of being there.....

not trying to **** on anyones home, just sayin my view

Hard to defend PP if you had the choice of any of SE Asia, most of us have our reasons for living there I guess be it live poker, long term relationships, no visa headaches, being broke etc etc. There is no doubt it's a sh*thole.

Isn't it basically just being broke, and booze/drugs. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Because for live poker, no visa headaches, and long term relationships, there's Manila. But it's quite expensive and no drugs.

Being broke a reason to live in Cambodia? From my own experience I found Cambodia to be more expensive than other SEA countries, please correct me if you think I'm wrong

not sure how cambodia could be more expensive, the visa is the cheapest, the apartments are very cheap i found a 350 a month with electric included month to month without even really trying, hotels cheapest, cheap food, cheap liquor, hooker prices going up makes it worse cuz harder to score freebies there though

yes jspill clearly thai > cambo.... cambo is bottom of the barrel (imo) out of phils indo thai vietnam cambo

manila isn't all that expensive if you don't burgos and don't invite people to restaurants that are 300 pesos because they are 'cheap'

more expensive then PP, but not by all that much if you make an effort to save money

Never been to Manila so don't know anything about the poker/visa situation and as for LTR, I meant already being in one as opposed to finding one. I heard accommodation is pretty expensive there though.

What did you find expensive? Eating out is pretty expensive in a lot of places but accommodation/drinking etc is good value.
