Think I'll get a 6 month for $160. Will probably visit Myanmar and a couple of other places and come back.

I doubt I will be playing regularly at Naga World. I'm basically a recreational player as is. A week or so ago I went to Naga and had a horrific experience. First, the black jack rules are totally bizarre here and people can bet on you. Initially I wasn't paying the closest attention and think the lady next to me was collecting my winnings on her smaller bets. Then I had a truly bizarre situation where she hit 8,8 on my bet. It took over 1 hour to get my $ back and I made them check the cameras, etc. Dealer was totally lying in claiming I hit. Just absurdly bizarre. Also I had one dude who was literally following me for 3 hours. If i went upstairs he went upstairs, I go downstairs he goes downstairs, I go to the bathroom... You get the picture.

This is before my cousin who lived here 2 years ago told me that foreigners are routinely followed home from Naga by hitmen and murdered.

On top of all of this I went up to the poker area at one point and some insane blonde woman on some sort of substance was just annoying and harassing. Not my kind of place.

Cambodia sounds like such an exciting place I wonder if it's the same mundane place I've lived in for the past two years?

Was browsing this thread for some info from last year and it's amusing to me that two pretty reg posters in this thread from last year alone are both now MIA and regularly posted up on the Scammers/Blacklist Cambodia page on FB for separate incidents. Just shows you gotta be careful..

ftr, ex poker room manager (assuming we are talking about same one as they had a few scammer) was a pretty good guy. I think he just got involved with the wrong things and life hit him a lot harder than expected. Not defending his actions or anything but he wasn't always the guy his current image portrays.

No lack of excitement here... Went to Sawyer Mall the other day for a beer around 1:30... Saw a hooker throw up and continue walking while waving a piece of cardboard. Guess that's normal here?

On the topic of fraudsters... Some Korean guy at the hotel I was staying apparently walked out on a $600 bill and was borrowing money from other guests which he tossed off at Naga World.

Received this pm regarding him:

There have been some recent posts about people moving to Cambodia so I wasn't sure if I should warn anyone about this poster.

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/members/37299/

When I moved to Cambodia a year ago he messaged me offering a room for rent. I paid first and last months rent when I moved in. A few months later he asks for next months rent early which I had no problem giving to him and a day or two later I found out that the lease was apparently expiring and he didn't want to renew because owners wanted to raise the price for high season.

A few weeks ago I saw this*

http://www.ajbrockscammer.com/
https://www.facebook.com/groups/1694636007490643/

He was actually being kicked out and asked for that next months rent to pay a debt, and hadn't been paying the landlord any of the rent or utilities that me and the other roommate had been paying him.

It's not a large amount of money and I'm not trying to start a dispute on 2+2, I just don't know if I should mention anything in the Cambodia thread. I don't have any proof and he hasn't logged into 2+2 in 10 months so it might not matter anyway.

Thanks

Yeah I met him and he was nice enough... didn't seem dodgy. Looking back on my communication with him though online & in person there are certain things he said that were clearly leading to a scam. There are some people who seem to go totally out of character whilst broke I guess.
