Do not ever get into a vehicle of anyone who asks you if you would like a taxi. These drivers are never legitimate and you will know as soon as you get in as they will not have a meter. Taxis are easy to find as they wait in a line to the right as you come out of the main entrance. Tuk tuks and motos are not allowed to congregate directly outside the entrance, but you can easily flag one down that is driving by. If you are staying in a reputable hotel, they will have a tuk tuk driver and it may be a good idea to have their phone number to come pick you up.

I still don't feel unsafe outside of naga... Sure there are few construction sites... but also park(very small) and busy street... Though i have been there only until 1am and there is still quit action in night club(darling darling) during that time.
Also i don't see why would you need to carry few k for 1-2 game... Well no max... but still quite rare to win/lose that much.
Outside of River king it is scary late of night... but you can just leave your money there.

I was under the impression that there are regular 5-10 games? Was planning on visiting this summer.

Naga has most of times only 1/2 holdem.. As far as i know there is no 5/10 no limit holdem game in Cambodia.. Highest regular no limit holdem game is 1/2/4 or 2/5 in riverking or exchange.. If you want to play 5/10 or higher on a regular basis you need to play Omaha and even that is probably only possible in high season

I've heard Exchange can/has gone a lot higher than 2/5 holdem. Pure hearsay though.

So far only few nice condos here and they tend to be expensive.
Well at least local draft beer is cheap and food delicious(like thai food). For 4month visa i paid 110$(35+75) which is less Than Philippines(due that acr card). Unlike some other i find nightlife here decent(couple of packed clubs, nice bars), though i quess strip bars are banned. In the end i would say PP is lot cheaper than HiSo areas in Manila... but obv here are no such areas... But more expensive than places like Chiang Mai, PAttaya and Angeles(again not with everything).
i don't think cambodia is good value either compared to thailand, except for beer. 3 years ago when the baht was strong, then cambodia looked like excellent value. but $1 is now 35 baht instead of 28 baht three years ago.

in Exchange bar and restaurant use to be this more like private type/ invite only game usually 2-5 holdem..personally i played there once 4 handed 1 round 5-10-20-40 holdem and 1 round 5-5-10-20 omaha..heard stories of even bigger games running there which i can believe..not sure if running now because im not in Cambodia but ive been getting invitation via whatsapp so probably yes..If you are interested just ask around, PP is not so big city in terms of most players know eachother..good game if u can afford that..i dont

A friend of mine said he saw 50/100 running at Exchange one time but like I said it's pure hearsay and yeah it's invitation only. So Riverking 1/2/4 & Naga 1/2 are the highest games running and just get yourself connected here I guess. The Riverking game expeciallly no one really buys in under $1000 so you can probably print money there if you're rolled.

You're not going to find that price in that location probably, the further you are away the cheaper it gets obviously.. if you can find someone with a room to rent though it's probably doable. For $250-$300 p/m though there will be plenty of places, I just got in contact with an estate agent and gave him my budget & preferred location and he took me to a few places. But I think finding a rented room with a shared kitchen/bathroom is your best bet with that sort of budget.

Wouldn't recommend snooky for someone who plays live poker for a living,.. 1/2 is the highest game which runs and you play often against same guys every day because it's low season...at the moment Naga 1/2 game should be way better than snooky 1/2 game

You could also try to negotiate deal with some guesthouse... or just stay their 3$ dorm(room shared with other ppl)... Also heard from one cambo girl that she is living for 65$ per month near royal palace(not so far from naga), she has own room but shared bathroom... Dunno how bad is the place or if it is even possible for foreigner to get place like that for that price

Do you by any chance have a website or a phone number i can use to contact them?

Also if anyone here is planning to go to cambodia and would be interested in a shared apartment please let me know. I will be grinding online and going to live poker games for the majority of my time there in cambodia

White river(2) 172st number: 023220680, email booking@whiteriver-kh.com
I stayed there for 150$ for one month(normally 7$ per night), not much and dunno if it is even worth it but they also have 3$ dorm(not sure if they do monthly deal for that), not so close to naga(river king much closer) but not too far either. I will be back in one month or so.
