We're usually playing at Lion until the late evening or early morning hours. If you have a free night or finish up with an event, PM me and we'll join you for a beer.

Triad, how often do u have to pay bribes on your scooter? Are they used to u at checkpoints n let u through?

Are the PLO games beatable, what kind of roll would u need if u want to go to PP for like 3 months and just grind that game. How many hours could u get in? Would a solid 30 hours be possible a week with big Cambo fishies. Does Dr. Lee still play there? Love that guy.
There are several checkpoints throughout the city and I used to get stopped daily. I have a temporary license and now that they know I have one, they no longer stop me and even wave hello to me on occasion as I drive by. But I just got some bad news in that I've been denied a permanent license. Apparently my American license is too close to expiration so they won't grant me one here. It appears that I'll have to go to Phnom Penh at some point and bribe someone there to push it through. And just to show that not everyone is trying to rip you off in Cambodia, the agency I used to get the license in the first place gave me a full refund.

Regarding the PLO game at River King I should first state that I have not played there in quite some time. And even when I did, I didn't play PLO and certainly not the $5-$10 game as it was way over my roll. That having been said, by all accounts the big game is beatable as there are a handful of players who come from different corners of the world just to play in it. There are 2-3 players that drive the action and the game is most profitable when they are in town. In such a scenario, 30 hours of grinding per week should suffice. There is a smaller $1-$2-$4 PLO game but I don't think that goes as often. Regarding the NL game I have stated in previous posts that it is overrated and perhaps even unbeatable. But there are a handful of players who swear by it, including Yazzx. I admit that I have not played in the $1-$2-$4 NL game in over a year so perhaps it has become a good game.

FYI I love Dr. Lee too. He's a great and funny guy and always good to have at a table. But from the reports I've heard he doesn't play as often, although he does still drop by and play at River King from time to time.

Regarding the ongoing debate, I prefer lean girls who are tight over big tits and a big ass. Although I will admit that girls with a little extra on them are more fun once you actually get them in bed. But since I fu*k with my eyes first, I prefer Asian girls over Latinas. And among the Asians I guess I prefer Koreans since they are the most shallow and vein and obsessively take care of their appearance. That having been said, I'll say what I've told hundreds of Cambo girls here which is there is nothing wrong with dark skin and they should stop putting that poison on themselves to whiten their appearance.

Thanks for the info on the scooter and games.

One of my all-time favorite poker moments was playing Dr. Lee HU for like 30 minutes while drinking champagne that he bought for ours and the other table.

Also after he busted on the full table we joined later and he looked over at the rail at a bunch of Cambo Omaha dudes and one guy chucked him a 1k chip to get him back in the game. He is a class act..

Certainly a staple of River King was that someone was always buying everyone a bottle of something, usually whiskey!

But you don't need to be fat or even chubby to have nicely defined tits and ass, but come on now a lot of Asian girls have almost no tits and ass, and hard to see preferring that.

Apparently Queenco is saying they're going to continue to spread poker after APT.
I would have to lean with triad that the scene cannot support an additional game but we'll see.

I hear there will be more than 40 players this week-end staying at Queenco. You sure you won't be going to have a look at the games @poker_triad ?

40 players for an APT event doesn't seem like that much. And I imagine the Phnom Penh contingency alone will account for half that number. But bottom line if the rake is indeed capped at $20, what they are proposing is to open a third room in what is already a player base that is stretched too thin and then open said game with the highest rake in town. I'm not finding too many compelling reasons to support this endeavor.

does anyone know how much you have to gamble at the queenco (or other casinos) to get your room comped?

i read something about $300 per day, but does anyone have updated information?

I've got a couple of friends from Vietnam and Singapore who asked me the same question so I've got the answer to that. Does not seem to be possible during APT as the occupancy % is apparently already good but it can be done during 24-29 June. You can PM for more details, I'm not sure that I'm entitled to write this on a public forum.

Why would you stay at queenco anyways? It's so far of everything.

That's probably why the room hasn't worked up to this point, despite numerous attempts.

You're probably right but it's my thing; I like the Kate Moss type.

If you want a real treat, go to pirate bay and find the unaired pilot. It's no wonder the original concept never took off.

According to Nina Travel Agency, I'm the first one ever to be refused an ordinary visa at the Ha Tien Cambodian/Vietnamese border (ノ-_-)ノ~┻━┻ the immigration official was such a dick...

I filled in the form asking for an ordinary visa, he signalled me to give some money without saying how much so I just gave me $35US which I believe is the real price. Then I got distracted and didn't see what they were doing until they handed me back my passport with a.... tourist visa inside (ノ-_-)ノ~┻━┻ They refused to do change it to the ordinary visa and came up with some bull**** about needing some kind of business invitation letter which is something that I have never heard about before nor has Nina Travel Agency oO

Just walked by Nina Travel Agency and they said I should have asked how much was the ordinary visa instead of just handing in $35. Apparently for some reason something was maybe stopping the officer from asking for more money once I gave that to him so he might have got pissed off and just gave me a tourist visa... ?

Anyway, it seems like I will have to go through 12 hours return of mini-van to the border in 30 days one more time as I cannot extend this tourist visa... They are telling me to go to Thailand instead next time and that they will complain to the "big boss" of the Ha Tien border about that "****ing stupid guy" (their words lol).

Not directly about poker but perhaps this can help other players
