asians just arent violent people, look at any most dangerous cities in the world list and its all south america and us/mexico

they also arent going to commit crimes in front of other people and there are lots of people hanging out on the streets here

not pissing people off is a pretty good plan

but think shark is just trolling or potslammering anyways so......

10 years+ in Cambodia and 0 death attempts on me.

Khmer 440 forum is aids and just full of bitter old men who come here to drink themselves to death/ complain about prositutes (and other expats) and who hate all Cambodian people ( but who would be the first to complain about immigrants in their own country)

You will be fine just don't do stupid stuff and I promise you won't die

"Promise me you'll never die " etc.... **** yeah

Thanks, the moto as number 1 cause of death is a good statistic for me cus i was more worried about being robbed, robbed and bashed, robbed and murdered. If its cheap enough i can basically just eat hotel food and not go out much because im there only for poker especially in the beginning while my roll is small.

I mean your posts are very similar to K2's before he came over to Asia. Same worries, a weed smoker - who refers to weed as bananas, generally projecting an un-organised mind. No offense of course, i love K2 he is like my internet pet.

Pop quiz:

Is it safe to put frozen bread in a toaster?

I would put frozen bread in the toaster mostly because i dont have much experience with frozen bread. my mind can be sometimes unorganized especially when i am on the weed. I think preparation is one of my worst qualities. but i want to quit weed fully, i keep relapsing here in aus and i thought moving to a place where get death penalty was going to help me alot but then i found out cambodia isnt the same as thailand and you can walk in to a shop and and get happy pizzas lol. But i think i can avoid the weed over there because i could get paranoid and il be playing 10 hours plus days on poker. Poker is kinda maybe an addiction aswell but i think its a positive thing in my life because it makes me want to better myself, motivates me to eat healthy, exercise, meditate. and apparently the weed in australia is the strongest in the world and Cambodia is apparently weak so it might just be like breathing air and have no effect lol but im confident i can avoid the alchol and weed while im under that sort of pressure to be in perfect shape to grind.

Don't believe Khmer reports. There was on where they said a guy killed himself and his family by driving into a pond...........but his severed head was in the trunk of the car!!!

He said the theory among Cambodian police that Laurent Vallier’s head, discovered inside a suitcase retrieved from the submerged car, had somehow rolled into the suitcase after the car entered the pond also now appeared unlikely.

Anyway. I don't want to make out it's overly dangerous. But if you can afford Thailand, it's better in every way, except visas.
This guy really knows how to creep me out

Near the end of 2013 my sister was in thailand and she said something along the lines you can live in thailand on 10$ a day. and i was playing poker since i was 17 and wanted to be pro but i wasnt really trying much. But that really motivated me cus 10$ sounded acheviable. so from late 2013 i was grinding 50c 180 mans and 360 mans using bankroll manegment and only doing a little bit of study but i did read a few books already. i got up to the 1$ hypers and was smashing them and won about a 1000$ from them and starting grinding $2.5 180 mans, i cant remember how but in june 2014 i came 3rd in $4.40 hotter for 2k and then after that i switched from 180 mans to mtt and was moving up stakes pretty quickly and getting good wins. and i was studying at the time but it was nearly coming to an end and i dont think i was ready to move to thailand and they where going to make me start doing community service unless i didnt have a job, so i put the thailand plan on hold and cashed out my money from stars so i wouldnt be distracted to play lol. i spent 1,1k on a racing bike and another 1.1k on a live tournment in my casino and if i had won that which was like 20k i would have moved but i didnt win. and so i think i had about 50$ left on stars and that was all the money i had and i loaded up some mtts and i busted them all except the hot $22 and then i managed to finish 2nd in it and won 2.5k and then two days later i came 3rd in another event for 1.3k i think. so i literally went from having 20$ and looking for a job to having like 3k and planning to move to thailand again in period of two days LOL also since then ive made about 1k and sold my bike for 800$ so ive got a roll near 5k now. Im also only playing hypers and turbos, i went through a 2000 game/$2000 downswing and found out i am not profitable in reg speed. last year i averaged 5 hours per day of poker and played 15000 games. ive cut down on tables recently and became a member of tournment poker edge and have created accounts on party poker, full tilt and 888 so i can fit more turbo/hypers in and play on softer sites. I have a feeling im going to be way more profitable this year, now that i have found some leaks and joined softer sites. plus i havent plateaued yet my graph is continuously pointing up but anyways this dont matter know cus im already booked my flight so theres no stopping now but i might have been getting false information about my statistics. im not sure if topshark is accurate and overestimating my profits

This guy has potential to eclipse k2d. Post daily reports when you get here.

Finally found an apartment here in PP. Perfect location for me, $250 per month and landlord seems sound. Gonna settle down and try grind a bit.. 3 weeks of heavy drinking has taken it's toll on my roll and health

It's not illegal in cambo but it is really frowned upon, ive had good friends who have been brutally beaten up and one guy even died. The locals don't like rich white people coming in and gambling in their country and not paying any taxes.

If you are coming to cambo you should know to never reveal what you do, to be safe I wouldn't even leave my apartment if I was you except to retrieve necessities, pay someone to procure the hookers for you as the local men won't like you trying tot ake their girls (i'm half khmer so I know how it is). Other than that my country is great and you should be fine as long as you are nice and don't talk about poker or try to speak to girls.

No problem, any questions you have please let us all know and we will try to help... just minimise your time outside and if the guys in tuktuks (like taxis) try to talk to you, just look at the floor and keep walking they have been known to rob tourists regularly.
