pure affiliate sites [i.e. sites offering minimal value and only trying to profit by ranking for product keywords] are selling for 20x monthly revenue if you use a broker that does the due diligence. flippa and other markets do not get a multiple that high because of the huge risk of getting scammed [site is faking revenue, using questionable backlinks, etc]. the khmer440 site is actually legitimate in that it has a ton of real, high quality content, and a forum that is actually active, so you would just need to verify the income which would not be difficult. selling for less than 20x VERIFIED monthly profit would be insane for them.

Was just in PP. Duty Free at the airport, which I don't think offers any value to any normal store, Gentleman Jack was $48.50 per bottle which is the same price in Bangkok. When I left the states 5 years ago it was just under $30 a bottle I think, no idea what it is now. My everyday bourbon of choice was always Maker's Mark but for some reason it's now at almost 2k baht per bottle now..?? I didn't notice what a normal bottle of Jack was going for because I hate that stuff, but anyways there is an updated price for you.

I heard a few years back that there was a lot of noise from construction at Boeung Keng Kang. Is that still the case today or has things settled down a bit?

But there's a few owners, so the revenue would be a bit more. I think he was maybe the majority owner though.

What do you think the new forum ( CEO ) cost to set up? A few hundred dollars? Makes spending thousands on 440 seem over the top.

I keep reading that forums are getting quieter due to facebook. Any truth in that? People are sick of trolls, I know that. K2D can hardly post without pointless abuse. Arguments are boring to read.

Construction is everywhere in PP, there's building work going on at the naga if you're thinking of staying there.

Construction is just one of the noise pollutions that will keep you up, khmer are notoriously loud, dogs barking all the time and those 2bit security guards blowing their whistle for no reason.

Hey LL, yea probably a few hundred, but your buying the brand and content. Even though the site has issues the brand name is strong. One of the other posters mentioned the content and that is huge for both viewing and SEO.

But I thought of that too about starting a new one over buying. I guess if you have the tech skills, SEO abilities, content creation ability (for blog) and the experience to give it a go that is the way to go. I don't have the SEO abilities and I know how hard it is to get ranked by content alone (content is king, but takes time to get found). Spending the money gives you a big head start.

Will be interesting to see how CEO grows as the people behind it know a little bit about what they are doing it appears.

I agree about the trolls...

LL check out this old forum that shut down four years ago due to excessive trolling. The guy was making over 50K a year off it and was getting over 3K hits a day and he couldnt take it anymore.

My original business was born because of this site and the discussions I had with people from it. Is one reason I get so bent out of shape when I get trolled, as I dont get it. Losing this forum was a massive blow as I used for so many purposes.

Do you think CEO has brought the value of 440 down much? It would have been a pisser if someone had bought 440 a few months ago, and so many users left to start a new forum.

I can understand that guy closing down. We have guys on here living in Asia, sharing info, and guys are starting arguments over facts, like it can be hard to change a $100 bill. I hope noobs don't arrive with $100's and can't get then changed, just so someone could argue with K2D! I bet there's lurkers with useful info who won't post coz they can't be bothered with the arguments.

And people opening and closing these old elevator style metal gates everyone has across the front of their house, late at night and early morning. Kept wakening me.

I personally don't think the value will get brought down, but have no info or experience to back that up. I bet half or more of the guys who left still lurk on 440. I just think the nature of the Internet being so massive and the fact Cambo is only getting more appeal to people will only let 440 grow.

The thing about the Colombia site was there was personal doxing going on and people making live threats and the FBI had to get involved I guess. At least 2p2ers dont cross those ridico lines. Im sure if I was in TL or other places near the people I had problems with in the past I'd be up to lift a few and get a good laugh at what was said before.

Speaking of security, how much is safety an issue when leaving the casino with money? Is it to the point that I should let it influence certain decisions; i.e., should I purposely try to pick an apartment closer to Naga, should I leave the casino at only specific times of the day/night, should I intend on playing more online than live to limit my exposure, etc.?

You can get a security box upstairs if you're worried, I always got motodups home never had a problem even got to the point where everyone of them new my address but I always stashed my cash in my shoe and left 50 bucks in my pocket, you can also get metre taxis for 5 bucks which are safe.

River king will also keep your cash for you the guys a millionaire so you cash is safe.

The info is much appreciated. Do you have a preference in where you play, Naga vs River King? Where are the cash games more consistent? I've heard that $1-$2 games at Naga typically run nightly starting at about 7pm and will run for 10-12 hours. Does that still hold true and how does River King compare?

Naga has loads more fish for 1/2 but rake is higher plus only free beer water and soda coffee, riverking has better players lower rake and everything is free but they spread 5/5 plo with some crazy action if your bankroll can handle the swings if you're looking to play 1/2 nl play Naga if you want to play higher try riverking.

I've left PP now only so long you can stay in a **** hole city like PP so give the guy at riverking a call see what's happening these days

i personally haent feeled threatend in phnom penh once. i have been a in a lot of citys in europe i feeled were more unsafe.

i think the 1/2 at the naga is better value but its just such a annoying game. its loud because you are right next to the pai gow and slots tables, theer is always terrible music sometimes by a live act, for some reason the chairs are very ****ing low, the dealers are extremely slow and make a lot of mistakes ( that isnt their fault tough they just arent trained propably and severly underpaid, they dont even get to keep the tips so dont bother tipping at the table. if you want to tip slip them a coupple of dollars cash, waiters gt to keep their tips though so dont stiff them!)
people keep leaning on your chair and stand extremely close so you have to be very warry when looking at your holcards.
the casino hostesses are silly hot though so thats a good thing i guess.

regarding the riverking 1/2 still runs everyday a 5/5 game usually runs too ( omaha or holdem) unless they play higher the biggest i have seen is 10/20. they changed the menu though no more free steaks.

LL, were u the one that posted the list of names about us all being the same in a way and I got all crazy?

Is funny as I used to be a middle school teacher for 13 years and now I talk to tons of my former students who were devils and we were at war all the time, now they are like 25 and we get great chuckles out it.

Betpot, Ive never left money at a room, do they give u a deposit slip or something at RK?

Thanks, probably best compliment I've ever got on a forum ...

But I snapped at one point over a post that was meant to make things peaceful and I got a overly insulting, that I regret.

Basically he was saying that we all have commonalities and he was right as we all love poker, travel and probably at least one other degen activity or two ...

Not saying I want to hold hands with my trolls and spoon, but I really dont want to get all ridico crazy over stupid chit again...
