There are live poker games in bkk that some guys on these forums play in, but they aren't normally advertised here by someone with broken English and 10 posts. That's why people are skeptical. You could be a scammer or at least looking to earn a commission by introducing people to games

I'm guessing he's either scamming or looking to get a commission to introduce players, and doesn't post it in the thailand thread because people there already know where the games are / will know what he's up to

Are there any poker houses in PP atm?

I'm going to be moving to Cambodia in early September and would prefer to live in a poker house. If there's none currently would anyone be interested in helping set one up?

So you are the co-owner of the place? Or manager? You are not playing yourself?

They do have a poker room with 4 tables but they closed it due to lack of players. Quite weird with all the advertising going on.

I was there two days ago. Next month before the APT starts they open up again I was told.

Fortuna Casino, near the lions roundabout has poker every night and at saturday night they run a tournament with $50 buyin + addons and rebuy. The tournament, or sit & go starts around 6pm and attracts maybe 15-25 players. When the tournament ends (around 10-11pm) everybody go's home so no juicy cash game afterwards.

Been there twice now and cash game had some lose players ($1/$2 not sure about min buyin, doesn't seem to be a max though but once I started with $100,- and another day with $400).

Cash game starts around 6-7pm and ends quite early. Both times we were with 3-4 players left around midnight and broke up the game.

Planning to move to Siem Reap one of these days, any poker there?

If anyone has info about cashgames in Pattaya or Bangkok hit me up as I live in Thailand for the last 2 years, specifically in Bang Saray, which is about 20km from Pattaya. No hard feelings if you don't want cause I have only 1 post here so understand people are kind of suspicious.

Also curious if there is any poker at the border near the coast. Thing is I bought a car but I pay it off in 12 terms so I'm not allowed to take it into Cambodia, and driving to Bangkok, then flying to Phnom Pehn and from there the taxi to Sihanouville is taking a whole day, quite long to just play a bit of poker.

I think I saw you and your brother taking a motorbike taxi yesterday afternoon near serendipity beach but just driving away and didn't feel like yelling lol.

Planning to visit Charlie Harper today, actually wanted to go to the beach but raining pretty bad now, tried to find it last night but couldn't and it was late already 11-12pm and 2 motorbike taxi's both had no idea and just drove around like clueless chickens. Heard that cash games start around 1pm is that true? And every day or only on thursday/friday/saturday?

Btw no offense, but do you also get sick and tired of the aggressive behavior of tuk tuk drivers and motorbike taxi's to sell you a ride, or coke, marijuana, hookers, you name it.

Can't even walk 100 meters to the beach without being addressed by at least a dozen of them.

As said I live in Thailand and spend a lot of time in Pattaya and plenty of motorbike taxi's there but they just ask it once in a polite way and that's it, totally different then here in Sihanoukville. Although they all speak decent enough English they are often clueless about certain places like guest houses or bars and just say they know where it is to just drive around without stopping. Hate them already.

For the rest Cambodian people are pretty relax, and I like the tourists more as well, lot of friendly backpackers.

Phnom Penh was a bit disturbing though, especially when you take a tuk tuk to the killing fields as you drive through an area where you see 6-8 yr old kids walking around with huge plastic bags filled with cans and plastic bottles, and other very young kids playing or sorting through piles of garbage

Then you really realize your in one of the most poor countries in the world, nothing compared to Thailand and I've been through whole Thailand.

Well we used to but now we only ever get motos from reg drivers we know so they don't bother... Don't even bother saying a price or where we want to go because they already know Most moto guys around serendipity beach know us and know where we live so we rarely get offered stuff anymore... But yeah at the start it was a bit annoying ^^
