Sihanoukville is really not crowded at all, but if you really want to avoid other people you can go about 10 miles down the road to Kep where there is virtually nobody.

If you want some laid back time to do some writing, I highly suggest Kep, where going for a walk everyday, getting a massage in the open air by the seaside and eating fresh seafood is all refreshing and expiring.

I went to Kep when I was facing a downswing and believe me, it clears the mind.

+1 to Kep.

You should also look into the islands off of Sihanoukville.

Alright awesome, thanks guys. It looks like I'll try to make my way towards Sihanoukville and from there go either to the islands or Kep or both. Does anyone have any information about anything motorbikes related? Aka:

As an additional question, are there any motorbike/scooter scenic routes people would suggest anywhere in Cambodia? If I rent one without license I won't get into trouble with police if I just bribe them, right? I'm actually very experienced in driving motorbikes and in SE traffic, but my license expired and I can't get a new one in time. I'd like to go on some relatively short (1-3 days max) type of drive somewhere, but don't want to spend my entire holiday driving. This could be in a different direction to my sea haven.

Unless you want to to drive a dirt bike ( 250cc) then motos are best for short day trips in Cambodia. From Sihanoukville you can do the waterfall ( dont know how much water this time of year ) to national park at Ream then maybe back through Stung Hau would be nice. From Kampot/Kep a trip to pepper plantation some cool caves and out through some pretty nice rural areas could be nice.

There is a guy doing quad tours ( and some sort of go kart things) here http://i-travel-asia.com/quad-tours-...sihanoukville/ though i dont know much about them as they are new.

If you ride a 250cc dirt bike then 'Stray Dog' tours are good or if you want a VIP type tour drop me a line as i have a friend who does them they are however a lot more pricey.

If you are ok to drive a dirt bike on your own there are some awesome trips more in the north for 4-5days Phnom Penh - Mondulkiri - Ratanakiri - Kratie for example is an easy nice trip depends on how experienced you are / how far you want to drive.

As for getting stopped by police i have been stopped once in 10 years but if you look like a tourist ( more based on the bike that you drive ie hire bike) then you will get stopped more, but it should just be a $1 fine if you smile a lot / offer them a cigarette, the worst it will be is like $5 if you are really bad at negotiating. Having a license from home will be largely irrelevant to most police and though technically you may be legal to drive police wont care and will just ask for a dollar.

Hello Cambodia, I'm living in Thailand and heading to PP and SR this week to clear my visa and push forward on a part of my online business empire that I've been developing in Cambodia for the past two years.

If you're interested in web development and internet marketing drop me a line and would love to have a drink or two.

I'm releasing a site hopefully within 30 days that will be using Cambodia as the launching point and I have a Cambodia specific tourism site launching later this year.

You can check out the url for my site that I'm doing business from based in Colombia in my contact info.

I'm looking to meet poker players who are very positive and have business interest outside of poker.

I love to party, I smoke a lot of weed, but I'm past my total degen days and not looking to hang with complete mongers.

Hit me up with a PM if interested to talk. Ill be in PP from Monday - Saturday, and SR for a few days after that.

Thanks!

Anybody been to Naga recently, many tables running etc. Is the redfox game still running as well. Is it still 1/2 or now a 2/5. Trying to decide between Naga or Macau. I think PP is more fun

Man that music was killing me. Ill give a full report tomorrow, Im frigging hammered. I won 485, but was up a grand within 30 minutes. I double up the first hand and just crushed until I played a questionable hand which Ill post tomorrow.

Meet with two former girls I know who will be working for me and the win more then cover their salaries/English lessons and they will be stoked to have a flexible job for awhile and hopefully long term.

Going roll and hit the hay with a smile...

I went back to Naga as I couldn't sleep. There were six players at 2 AM. Good game and I double up within ten hand and left with 400 up. I then needed more action and cashed in 200 in blackjack and won 800 more.

Started the day with 400 cash and now have 2020 and a few sacks ...

Not a poker trip, but I'll probably play again soon.

The purple and pink are ok, but having a bunch of greens and 100s makes it all good...

+1620 up is not a bad day for me, as I ran a little bad this week on my grind. This puts me up and feel great as I need a poker, life and business roll and money like this is a godsend....

Great reports, keep 'em coming.

One of the most frequent questions asked in this thread is how are the games at Naga and yet for some reason the only thing that ever seems to be talked about is hookers in Snookie.

I'll update day two tomorrow, so tired.

Just won another 850 at Naga, putting up around 2500 over last two days.

Tonight won 950 blackjack 1 hour and minus 100 poker 1 hour.

I'm playing great BJ, but have history of spewing large amounts at BJ need to be careful.

The poker tonight started at 7 PM and got crazy first hand. Most buy-in for 200 and a few 400 and stacks build quick. A couple of guys are huge fish and are deep pocketed.

Maybe take 4 hour nap and hit the game at 2 AM as I like short-handed and really want to ride the heater while I can...

Sorry for turning the Cambodia thread into my blackjack thread, but its the way it has gone for...

I ended sleeping till 6 AM and decided to go to Naga to just play blackjack. I'm in the groove and I have previous experience on a blackjack team (I was an investor at that time, but learned from a rain man type player). We had a short run at the riverboats in the suburbs of Chicago in 1993. We ended up being up around 50K after 2 months between three people with lots of perks. We just had to go separate ways due to life situations, but the main dude won a ton in the future.

Anyway, I play by the book, but really pound my runs and time my bets.

I cashed for 600 only with the goal of getting to 2 - 5K in a session, but I keep quiting my sessions because blackjack at Naga Casino is ****** bull**** for many reasons, but mostly due to fellow Cambodian gamblers who are very annoying, the worst I've seen in the world.

Naga needs to get their **** straight with this and other things as it could be a top-notch casino.

I won 400 in like 15 minutes, had to jump tables three times and just said screw, Ill enjoy the short win and go rest.

Tonight Im going play both poker and blackjack with a stop-loss of 600 so I have 2K + to show for the past few days.

Im going to rent a moto tomorrow and ride to the Kep area to explore...

rebuilding your life roll through blackjack seems as sensible as k2 believing he could rebuild his life roll through one tabling sngs.

Do you believe this gives you an edge?

Cliff on Naga as of 2/5 -

Game is 1/2
Buy-in is 200 or as much as you want
Many mega spewfish with deep pockets
Pros in the game as of now
Possible to grind a living off it, imo...
Game starts at 7ish, best to be on time as the table fills up and have to wait for seat or second table to open up
Beautiful girls everywhere, many who work directly with Naga who are approachable and some working girls of the night who are annoying at table games, but not a factor at poker.

I ended up losing 400 waiting for poker seat my last session and ended up leaving three days of gambling +2400.

@lol agree not a good plan...

@mithras I believe I have no edge on a single session, that over time the house will win % wise as Im not a counter and I make mistakes. But I believe the power to run a smaller stack into much higher in such a short period of time counters that and gives the player an edge due to choices.

But I dont know how many winning black pros there are, but the ones who do must be considered among the best gamblers in the world.

I got out of PP on a rented moto for 16 bucks a day and Im in Kampot, getting out of the city was a good move as I was a little out of control. Ill post pics of the bike and area soon...
