maybe if i can learn to actually use the bum gun ;s

hmm i thought it was only 1 street, we got dropped off there and had a look around but couldn't see anything else. the girls who invited us, it was one of their birthdays and i think they live pretty near, think some worked at one of the bars cos they was all helping themselves to drinks etc :S i definitely saw atleast 3-4 ladyboys, and some that i was unsure about

spiv, problem is can i say that if i am unsure if it is ladyboy? there seem to be a lot that i am unsure about, and i dont really wanna piss them off :S

on our first night, one of the aussie guys we was with called some girl a ladyboy and omg she kicked off he had atleast 3 drinks thrown in his face, not exactly sure what happened i didn't see how it started

If you can't tell if it's a ladyboy or not, why are you so worried? Just enjoy yourself.

It's South East Asia. Nobody is going to write a letter to your mum about it if you decided to have a drink with a ladyboy.

Stop worrying about whether or not someone is a ladyboy or not, and worry about whether or not you think they're hot/you enjoy hanging out with them.

And yes, accusing every girl you see over 5'4" of being a transexual is not going to make you many friends. Just go with the flow.

hmm i guess i worded it badly, its when im like 75% sure they are ladyboy or even if im 90% sure i don't want to call them ladyboy incase they react badly. i dont mind hanging out/chatting with them but they seem to be really loud and upfront, im not gonna cry if they touch my D or if i kiss one or something but id rather not, you know? i've already met a few hot ladyboys..

not sure how to say this without sounding like a dickhead but i am considered pretty boy (justin bieber haircut etc) ;s when i live in brighton, england i was a target for the gay guys, and so far it seems the same with ladyboys. when we are out in a group they are always coming up to me first, pulling my arm, shouting me across the street etc. maybe its just because my friends are ugly ...

im actually pretty laid back, just go with the flow is what im always sayin :S

Yazz, look at their hands and feet to see if they are big, and look for an adams apple. The voice is a good tell as well. A lot of people stay away from them as they can be volatile if they are swallowing hormones. No point in wasting time with them if your not into them. And I agree, that they are overly persistent.

I think ladyboys are really odd still even after being out here so long. But i still do my best to treat them respectfully. Just treat them like you would any other person you arent attracted to. That is, unless you are rude to, say, ugly girls that talk to you. If thats the case then work on your interpersonal skills a bit.

Yeah that is pretty much the problem, I am trying to be nice and respectful but they just all up in my face too much :S I've not had any problems, just a lot of awkward spots

Metfone internet stick thingy 2 mb is $16 per month? or a one off payment? the woman we talked to spoke very bad english, wasnt sure what she was trying to say. the sign just said $16 2 mb unlimited

also where are the good markets? downtown? havn't really found any good ones, just a few small places. I tried to buy a pair of shorts and the girls starting price was $12, was not expecting them to be that much tbh, I said $1 (wanting to settle around $4-5) and she didn't even bother trying to haggle with me

i am naturally pretty tanned anyway but its really gonna take some time to get used to this heat, constantly sweating, having like 5 showers a day, 3 change of clothes etc

Metfone is lagging way to much for poker in PP, so I would get cellcard instead, 10 usd a month for 4.5 gb.

Also, does someone know the metfone number you need to call to find out your credit? can't find it anywhere :S

you probably started to low with your haggle and she thought you were joking maybe

i got GREATNESS from metfone in PP, no lagging and downloading at 300mb/second compared to the 100-150 max i would get in snooky, so it depends on location

you dont need to call a number there is a check balance thing around somewhere

i just deposited load onto metfone didnt get any plan, if all you use it for is poker and surfing (not streaming or downloading) it should last a long time, just download using the hotel wifi after you are finished playing imo

you might as well get cellcard to its never a bad idea to have an extra extra backup

ask any moto driver to take you to "big market"

for food samudura market is the best

was gonna go to the big market today but just started raining pretty heavily

yeh i think metfone should be fine, dont really need a fast connection just to be reliable, will make sure to get some backups ofc

met possibly the hottest girl ive seen since ive been in cambodia, she was with about 5 other friends eating on the beach, i kept giving her the look and it must of worked because she came over to say bye when she was leaving and we exchanged numbers. i called her later that night and she was at club rv but noone wanted to go there, didnt really wana go on my own, no idea where it is, and i ran out of money, my bank card wasnt working for some reason ;s

i text her this morning asking if she wants to hang out soon and she replied saying she gone back to pp ((( should have definitely gone to club rv ;/ is it any good?

its LV

i went twice but both times early in the night, first time with EZ and neither of us were liking it so we left, 2nd time it was like 9-1 khmer guys to girls.......... but others have had more success there than me so its worth a look

you should have asked her to hang out right then during the day, really hot ones arent easy to find in snooky dont play around when u get the chance take it

Yeah LV is an ok club, I went there a couple of times and picked up a girl both times free of charge. It's full of local girls and not annoying backpackers like the beachside bars so.

One annoyance that i remember was like a lot of clubs in Cambodia about an hour before closing they descend into that crappy Khmer music...which seemingly every local in the country loves to sing a long too. god it's awful and always in the same whiny tone.

I haven't been there in around 2 years though, might have changed a bit.

Looking at relocating to Phnom Penh for the winter from Canada, and curious as to some good resources into trying to find a decent apartment. Thinking of something upto 6-700 a month?

Found a couple sites through google, but I am certain there is better places that I just do not know how to (as of yet) find.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

most of the rent real estate ads have pictures, but the problem is that the one they will show you are not the same as the apartment on the pictures. Just contact a real estate agent when you are in town and have him show you some units.

Mekong view towers is pretty good, but a little fare from the city, about 4-5 km. the price for a 100 sqm 2 bedroom is 500+ depending on which floor the apartment is located at.

Thanks for the info! Appreciate it gentlemen!

It seems like there is quite a few decent places available at decent prices.

Sounds like it maybe best to book a hotel somewhere for first couple weeks while taking the time to check out some places. Instead of trying to negotiate something before getting there.

Yeah, hotels are so cheap in this part of the world, so it doesn't really make sense to book a long-term deal anywhere, before you arrive.

Go to a hotel, spend a few days or maybe a week to go around and see the places for yourself... and you will be able to get a much better place to live.
