If they want an easy target there are plenty of 45kg female tourists in SV to rob.
true to an extent but im still a white man so they assume i have money

im also assuming the OP isnt going to walk around with 100 dollar bills falling out of his pocket

Is it standard to try and haggle with rent in snooky? :S
Living in Cambodia and turning Pro Quote

I dont see a -EV to not haggle.

Prices are usually set but if you're staying extended time, a regular or slow season, why not

Have any of you guys had any luck finding a regular gf in Cambo ? I heard khmer girls are very conservative and won't have sex before marriage, is it true ?

Maybe there is some asian expats like vietnamese or pinay girls who would be more inclined to it... ?

i think 99% of cambodian girls fall into one of two categories

A) sex after marriage or a really long time "dating"

B) hooker

Hey all, Im currently in Australia and now that my job has finished im itching to leave and go to Asia. I should be heading to Cambodia on the 14th of July or around that time, and am looking to stay there for maybe 3-6 months, potentially more. Who knows.

Im open to going anywhere but shianoukville is kinda appealing to me because of the beach. Where is recommended? Also where is the best places to stay? Hostels, hotels or should I rent an apartment?

I have around $1000 when I arrive so im gonna be pretty tight. I intend to either play online poker or maybe some live poker depending on how good the live scene is.

Are any other poker players gonna be around at the time?

Also, just curious, How much would food and drink be daily if i was to eat out, and also if i was to cook my own?

Thanks

jesus, how many degen poker players who go live in asia is there?...

How do you think you're going to survive with 1k. How much are you going to deposit in poker first of all? so that leaves you what, 1 month worth of expenses on the cheap?

Lol @ 1k, I spent that in like just under 2 weeks.

1k not enough to move there with (obviously)

first month anywhere always costs a lot more, once you are settled in you can live on 1k a month but dont expect to start out at that

you can eat for $5 or less a day, i probably averaged about $7 a day when i was there but i ate peanut butter sandwiches or ramen once or twice a week to keep the average down

with 1k you arent going to be able to get an apartment because they will want deposits so the best you will be able to do is get a hotel for a month, its low season so you should be able to find a place for 250 with aircon, but if you really only have 1k probably should just go with fan room might be able to get for 120ish

grinder i lived there last year not anymore, yes get visa at the airport, its $25 for the business visa make sure you get that, yes you can find an apartment in that range i just stayed in hotels so i could do month to month and depending on if it was low or peak season hotel was 250-330 a month with electric included

you didn't do your research properly before coming up with this troll. the minimum wage is about $600 a week in australia, so why not get a second job for a couple of months?

I was going to go to Nagaworld next weekend to play poker and just saw in the news about a big strike and people getting fired. Any impact to the game? Are new dealers there that are super slow now or anything like that? Are the local players honoring the strike and not going to the casino (I doubt that highly). Anyone have any on the ground info for the situation.

thanks
